Ideally you should be able to use the HRP's maphacks if people would correct the rotations of the models like I posted in that one thread.

I do use it, but some of the models are still rotated incorrectly.

No, i'm using atomic edition. Most of the models are corrected with the map hacks, but the keycard, portable medkit, and RPG are rotated incorrectly. I suppose i could change orientation of the voxel in the editor, but it would technically be incorrect.

This is the orientation of the voxel in the editor, and its correct. While the in game the map hack has it rotated incorrectly, because someone set the model at the wrong orientation.

Its an easy fix is to just change the orientation, but its still incorrect.

So what you are saying is that the HRP model is facing the wrong angle, and the maphacks were made based on that wrong angle. So both the HRP model and the maphacks would have to be changed in order to fix that.

Yeah, basically. Although you don't have to change it since it works just fine. I think ill fix it later on for the voxel pack though.

This is true. Some of the HRP pickup models are rotated the wrong way and all the maphacks were modified to compensate instead of fixing the model. Some time ago, for the portable medkit I rotated the model and fixed the maphacks so I could use the voxel included in SW.GRP and it was not that difficult.

Here's a list of what needs to be done to what:

90° to the right:
Devastator
Freezer
Freezer Ammo
Space Suit
Shotgun Ammo

180°:
Pistol
Shotgun

90° to the left:
RPG
Shrinker
Expander
Shrinker Ammo
Expander Ammo

Everything else is correct.

I am kinda curious now too. How do you make your voxels? I've used poly2vox and slab6 a couple times, but haven't really tried to make anything.
Anyways, great work here keep it up!

Well it would take me a while to explain, but i use Slab6, Strip2Voxel and i edit the original sprites in Gimp and MS Paint. Most of the work is done in Slab6, and MS Paint(i use it to lay it out in strips for Strip2Voxel)

Also here is the pipe-bomb. :(

The pipebomb is great, but my only issue with it is the stripes, they should be angled, not straight. They're hazard stripes.

Amazing! It probably doesn't look like one because it's a huge sprite shrunk down, sorta like the pistol ammo and much like the wall-tripbombs.

I have coded it to be an expander pickup in my mods, so it can be separate from the shrinker pickup. I mention this only because someone might remember picking up the expander sprite and not realize it wasn't like that originally.

It's also interesting to note that you can give the player just the expander and not the shrinker; but if you give the player the shrinker it'll automatically give him the expander as well (this doesn't apply to Eduke obviously) not really that interesting but still :D

I would think it's a good idea, however, take note that the actual Expander pickup art isn't done well, it was just a five second copy/paste job. I think I've finished a sprite for it that's proper, but I'm not on my computer right now. I'll post it later tonight if I can.

Yeah. It's literally just the shrinker pickup with a pal 2 (red) shrinker ammo stuck inside with the dish from the expander ammo on top. Roma Loom's HRP model is more what it is supposed to look like.

Sorry it took so long, but here is the sprite. I think the original styling of the Shrinker's sprite is fugly, so there are two versions of the Expander and a new version of the Shrinker sprite. Feel free to use them if you wish, or not.

I was checking Dirk Jones Facebook page and I seen that he already re-created quite a few Duke3D sprites in voxel form for Duke Nukem Forever.
