i was going for ivory, but i desaturated it in the last minute ;)

frankly, i have no idea what kind of grips the developers were using in that screenshot i posted, those have some green stripes on them, they looked funny on this gun so i decided to go for some simple ivory ones.

actually, i was thinking of making those gloves before i started, but then i decided to stick to the 2001 E3 video ones, only higher res. ;)

i think it could be done, but with the overheating bar you can actually see how much it's overheated, whereas the gun symbol woldn't give you too much information

Just a little feedback...

It looks really thin due to the perspective, if you make the front end of the barrel about twice the size its supposed to be, but leave the grip and the hammer end of the barrel at the normal size it should look a bit chunkier, and hopefully more satisfying ;) (the perspective will make it look normal and unstrectched)

I really like what's been done so far the gloves look great, apart from the shot where duke is holding the trip bomb (the nuke symbols look strange).

I know this is mainly new textures but I really like the "knocked down" idea, maybe the weapon should disappear on the hud and player should lose the abilty to shoot for a few seconds until the player recovers.

Keep it up I will definatly use this mod when its done ;)

oo nice, comming along nicely ;)

hope once poly has its way with it we can get nice shiny leather effect to the gloves.
we should be able to see his kuckles bare skin tho...



incorporating a vector / font system for the hud, would make it look 10x cleaner and bring it even more up-to-date with current games, but can duke even take a vector/font based system?

With Polymer being created and the HRP I am beginning to think anything is possible with Duke Nukem 3D.
It would be nice to see a HUD just like DNF though. (Ego and ammo at top of screen, inventory items at bottom)

i'll make gloves for the DP shotguns and lasergun, but only after i finish the classic guns/ keycard hands/tip hands, etc

if all goes well i think i should have the pack ready next week ;)

I know this is probably unlikely, but will this project have any chance of changing the 8-bit sprites to add the DNF gloves to them too? o.o;

that was the original plan, and i tried but i couldn't make it work, the sprite just wouldn't display right. And now that i look back, that would be a whole lot of work to do with all the frames... ;)

Would be a good idea, but Duke Nukem Forever it's not released (IF DNF come out.) so we cannot know if the mosters will be like we saw in the trailer, we have not even seen all.

Well if you didnt call the mod Duke Nukem Forever and changed the octoking to a octokinng and changed the holsom twins to the wholesom twins you'd probably be fine. ;)

It's really looking great, but the shotgun is missing ;)
and it would be great if you could make gloves for DP weapons ;)

Awesome pack mate. It looks great in game and adds a nice visual feel.
One bug i noticed though. When firing the dukeplus laser gun (default weapon 1), a white square appears over the muzzleflash. Should be an easy skin fix i suppose.

Jesus. I only found this thread just now and I'm blown away by how awesome the latest shots look - I'm all for replacing D3D art to make it look like DNF. I'd go as far as saying it should be an official extra update for the HRP to be made available on its site.

Now I don't expect anyone to model new enemies based on the DNF videos.

EDIT: or retexture the existing models.
