thanks, i did it all with vectors, so it shouldnt take to long
thinking of blackening the metal on the machine gun to make it look more dnf

I'm not sure if the entire hand should glow like that. Light doesn't really work that way - try only illuminating several of Duke's knuckles or finger joints that are farthest from the barrel (closest could be a tad darker).

Doesn't really look much like the DNF octabrain - I think it'd require an entirely new model.

here it is now,



the green screen glows,
the red button only lights up on firing and has a tiny sheen
it lights up much better now

could get some bits of light to sit right but much better than before
if someone can extract and upload the art for the gunfire part ill turn it transparent and add a glow to it

here it is if you want to try it



ill do the freezer next and make it light up blue

added a green glow to shrinker when fired



this is becoming more of a weapons touchup mod i can also easily convert it over to normal and the new dnf glove pack aswell

Are we sure that he uses a 1911 pistol? It does look like one in the shots.
It looks like it has gold filigree on the slide.

I've seen a few shots of the modern build using the Desert Eagle as well. Did they drop one for the other, or is it an option?

There's no Desert Eagle in the 2009 version, that's a M1911 custom for sure. Anyway keep on the good work for DNF 3D!

Why? Keep in mind this pack's intention seems to be emulating some of the DNF graphics we've seen. This doesn't seem to have anything to do with that, it seems like a random graphical change.

Also personally I think the blue gloves look better. I think it's because those bare knuckles just don't look right to me (they probably never will)

hmm might leave the black gloves for poly spec mapping, i could make them lighter to bring out definition but that turns black to Grey which defeats the point

at least all these effects are just vectors so i might just release an enhanced chaingun & glowing shrinker for daniels gloves and gloveless versions.

that would be grand jukno, always liked the 1999 ones more than the recent ones

anyways here what ive done, just the shrinker glow effect & black metal chaingun in one pack using the current dnf gloves
you could use the shrinker with anything

cheers for adding them ;)

heres the expander, blended the animations so it looks smoother now, and made the shrinker proj smaller to scale better with the glow, alot less boxy now

mite see what i can do about adding trans and glow edges to gun fire / laser shots, or adding a glow to the standard explosion, now that would be a chore, but damn it would be worth it

Don't knock yourself out on that stuff. Polymer will have its own bloom effect eventually.

yeh it was a bit of maybe, mite just do a couple of small things

i was going to see if i could do something with the dukeplus freezer effect but couldnt find its texture file
