"He said his first impulse was to take a picture, but instead he ran to the person, took his shirt off and used it to try to stop the flames."

Fucking lol @ first impulse. "Wait till the bros see this!"

Ah well, that's sad.

If I remember correctly there was some left wing tranny in the video game industry that started a gofundme claiming it was for medical bills when it was really for a sex change. Once that was exposed she was doxxed by the users and killed herself rather than coming clean.

I don't know about any others since I don't follow kiwi and haven't heard anything regarding the site since the new zealand censorship bullshit a couple years back.

I see.

Sadly I didn't care enough to remember the name, only how she tried to deceive people with empathy for personal "gain".

Essentially among the lowest, most selfish garbage act one can take part in.

Should have went to prison for fraud.

You know this site is slipping when nobody posted about Dusty Hill, ZZTop bassist, passing away in his sleep at the age of 72, three days ago

Ah...RIP I suppose. Although I regret to say I don't know who they are. A little bit to early for me, perhaps.

If we're at recently dead rock stars, I guess Joey Jordison, the ex-main drummer of Slipknot, deserves a mention here. He died last monday at 46.

^Died on the same day as Mike Howe, the second vocalist of Metal Church. Been a bad week for musicians in general.

Bob Saget. Dead at 65. Found in an Orlando hotel room. RIP.

EDIT: I guess I should add here for posterity even though everybody knows, RIP Betty White as well at 99, not two weeks before her 100th birthday.

Surprised to see Bob Saget had died. RIP.

Also Sidney Poitier died aged 94. A very fine actor and from all all accounts quite a gentleman. RIP.

Gaspard Ulliel, French actor known for playing Hannibal in Silence of the Lambs prequel Hannibal Rising and Manech in Jeunet's Un Long dimanche de fiançailles (which might just be my all-time favourite "romantic" movie), died at only 37 after suffering a head injury in a skiing accident.

Evidently John William Galt, who was the original voice actor for Lo Wang, died at age 81. A bit poetic that he passed on Duke 3D's bday.

Rest In Peace Mr. Galt. Lo Wang from 1997 will always be a bad ass alongside Duke, and it is mostly thanks to your voice talents the character was so memorable.

It's sad people in other "communities" such as Doomworld are already trying to make his death into discussions of controversy.

Edit: People have already spoken their piece about how I shouldn't have mentioned the second bit of this post, so let's just move on.

RIP John William Galt.

Not sure why you needed to bring this here. The "controversy" thread created by someone on DW is one that even most folks there don't consider worth talking about.

I wasn't trying to bring the supposed controversy here as much as I was trying to state that I find it sad that people are doing that right after he's passed away. Sorry it just kind of pisses me off is all. I first heard the news from DW, and that's why I mentioned them specifically.
