If I did that, all those threads would show up before the ones in this new thread. I think your post here with the links is good enough.

Very saddened to hear this. This was a huge actor that has shown many movies that would have been impossible without his personality.

Can't believe he died.
He was a funny guy and a great actor.

One of my friend posted that he committed suicide.
His death is still under investigation.

He didn't have health problems.
He survived a minor heart problem.

Such a great shame. I loved his stand-up stuff and his VO work, and One Hour Photo was, at least in my mind, one of his best 'serious' roles; proof that he wasn't just a one-note guy.

I don't want to use his death as any kind of platform for charity or self-righteousness in saying this, but I do hope that it helps to show people that depression isn't just something you have for a while and then it goes away. It is a serious problem for many people, myself included, and not something to be viewed as a temporary feeling during hard times.

Thinking about this, I'm reminded of a line from Watchmen;

"I heard a joke once: Man goes to doctor. Says he's depressed. Says life is harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world. Doctor says, "Treatment is simple. The great clown Pagliacci is in town tonight. Go see him. That should pick you up." Man bursts into tears. Says, "But doctor... I am Pagliacci." Good joke. Everybody laugh. Roll on snare drum. Curtains."

I've heard the cause of death is a drug overdose. It may be heroin, cocaine or maybe even speedball. We don't know yet until we get the autopsy results. Too early to tell.

CNN conforms the death of Wayne Static of Static-X: http://www.cnn.com/2....html?hpt=hp_t2

:):):P:D:(

He'll always be remembered for the song "Push It" that appeared in the intro of "Duke Nukem: Land of the Babes.

RIP Wayne Static.
