Viktor Antonov, the visionary artist who defined Half-Life 2 and Dishonored, has died aged 52:

His work on Half-Life 2 was amazing, he will be missed. RIP.

Not sure, as searching online didn't seem to bring up anything, only speculation at this point. Either way, 52 is way too young.
