All this possible "information" and misinformation is overwhelming. The possibility of whether or not DNF will ever see the light of day is still up in the air, and without any real confimration from George himself is driving me nuts!

This forum is quickly becoming a bit unstable. You have 1 or 2 members detailing how many cars are parked at 3drealms, another posting pics of what remains of 3drealms and lastly a supposed "email" that is adding to the speculation of this game seeing the light of day.

Until a real statement is made, I think it's best to just accept this game won't be released at all by 3drealms. We can speculate however, as to which developer/publisher *might* continue the game. All of guys at 3drealms have lost their jobs, I'm sure they wouldn't want to be reminded of that fact and that their work has amounted to leaked videos and pics only.

My sympathies to them, but not the management at 3drealms.

IMHO, George should win an award for EPIC FAIL OF THE DECADE for running 3drealms to the ground.

Hmm, i'm getting worried now.
The forums were down for ages yesterday with an "Index Rebuild" going on, my internet went down before they came back up, and what do i see when i log in today but the threads locked and the closing down thread gone. it's strange, and it unsettles me a little.

Yea its like everybody is hiding behind their moms skirt about what the deal is with the Duke. I mean company shuts down, production halts. I can understand that much however I just want to know the future and get a statement, not the silent treatment which George is basically really good at. However if has good news and wants to surprise us in someway relatively soon I can forgive him and im sure others will as well.

The problem is, he thinks he can get away with that.

Instead of people actually getting in his face about this thing.. everyone nodded and said "Of course. When it's done. George knows more about making games than me, so sure."

When it's done is just not reliable in the real world, though.. and the fact is, nothing is ever as good as its hype. He should have been releasing on a regular basis, and just accepted that DNF was a pipe dream.. but that he can explore and see the things he wants in the "perfect" Duke game in a variety of games.

Half Life fans love Half Life because of the universe that has built up around it. This has come at the cost of many, many games. The fans continue to buy the games because they like what they see.

George should have accepted that people aren't perfect, the perfect game doesn't exist, but that he could try to deliver fun and entertaining games once every two years or so.

That way, he would have remained relevant.

But right now, he's irrelevant. He's a joke to many, and he's someone who made an "old game" to many others.

Well, even if there is good news with Duke, I doubt it'll make me feel any better. Losing 3DR is huge! Forget about Duke, those guys helped lay the groundwork for much of what I hold dear in the world of PC gaming.
