Try telling that to George when it comes to DNF.
Needless to say, this may be THE TC for use with HRP/Polymer, just so long as it's updated enough to play with those, you got my backing.

Now here, have some trees in an otherwise unremarkable screenshot:

I do believe most people still play Duke3D for being Duke3D, not because it's trying to look like modern FPS games.
Having polymer and hi res textures is good - for mods that have nothing to do with Duke.
AMC TC looks great for the most part (actually I do believe it looks VERY uneven, but I guess that's what you get when you have so many different mappers) and as it is I don't even see how they would implement hi-res textures and polymer in that. It would change the style entirely and everything would need to be redone basicaly.

That's insulting really man. I've already got 2 mods that use Polymer and Models and finding resources for them was incredibly hard. Making AMC TC classic and sprite based meant I had far more resources at my disposal and was mixing it up. Saying 'it falls short' is basically waving away all the hard work that's been put into it.

We couldn't give a rat's ass about competing with modern FPS games. If I want to play modern shooters, I play modern shooters.

Mentioning your own mod is ok if what you have to say about it is relevant to AMC TC. But then answering questions about your mod in THIS thread (as opposed to directing people to your mod's thread) and then posting your own movies and screenshots here crosses the line into Kanye West territory.

...There's really nothing better than getting to see a cool TC like this wind up being dismissed on such retarded grounds.

Nooo.. Kanye West would show up on your mod page and say. "But DTA is the gratest mod of all time." When we all know you deserve that reword. I'm still new to the forums and how things go. I did'nt even think to post up my work on my mod in it's own forum.
Sorry about that, I'm still learning.

Looks great, can't wait to play that TC. That was the first time I saw the mech HUD. By the way, why does the snow at the beginning and end of the video look better than the snow in game?

Heh, because it's from ETQW
When I first visualized the trailer in my mind, I knew I wanted something like that to start the video but when the time came, I wasn't sure where to get a clip of snowing against a relatively bright sky, but then I thought of one Lapland map in ETQW.

EDIT: actually that's like the best moment in a game ever so I'm surprised you haven't seen it yet

That's a good idea, and I'll take a look at it, but I'm a bit skeptical about being able to pull off something like that in Duke3D.

An AMC TC weapons trailer, it doesn't even show a tenth of the weapons available in the mod though. Excluding upgrades and alternate ammo-types there's at least 120 weapons in the game - each character has a full set of weapons (The main characters have unique ones and the 'minor' characters have a few unique and some shared) as well as the temp weapon system where a array of guns can be used in slot 0. The video explains this a bit more.
