However I do not understand why the first time it worked, when I did the test skybox.
Then I simply copied the code of the test, changed the name of the jpg to the final and left with comment / * * / the code of the first one.

Now I am at work, I have to recheck everything when I get home.

And I think I have to install mapedit, because I'm going crazy referencing each tile.

Thanks again!!

Okay, I've tried messing around with other ways of starting BuildGDX, but apparently its just not making the .ini file for some reason. I got a file not found error for TekWar's .ini file, which didn't seem to get created when the game started. I'm not sure if this is a general Linux thing or just a Ubuntu thing. I also seem to be getting fatal errors whenever I try closing TekWarGDX, and it won't close for a good while or give up my mouse cursor.

Just tried DukeGDX, looks like the sound stutter a bit when drinking water. Can someone confirm this?

The broken fire hydrant on the first map stops and starts the water sound.

Which sound backend are you using? OpenAL Soft 1.15.1 or 1.18.1?

I tested both...also sometimes the "gulp" sound Duke makes when drinking water doesn't play at all.

Sadly, the sound stuff in BuildGDX is far from being perfect. EDuke32 ports are better in this department.

It has been a while since I played BloodGDX. I just updated. Is anyone else having problems with frame pacing? I get some skips every few seconds, Vsync is On and frame limiter Off. It is probably worse than it used to be for me, or the same.

Will the software renderer improve this? I could disable Vsync but it is going to cause screen tearing on my 60hz monitor.

That's your problem right there.

Hi all, so I just installed BloodGDX, and it runs perfectly with the exception that when I try to exit the game through the menu, the game crashes and JRE reports a segmentation fault. Normally this wouldn't be a problem since I'm exiting the game anyways, but this is causing a bug in which my screen resolution isn't being switched back when I exit the game, for example when I run the game in 800x600 and exit, my screen resolution is stuck at 800x600 until I reboot. Has anyone else experienced this or been able to fix it? I did quite a bit of searching and couldn't find any other reports of this bug.

Here's my specs:
OS: Arch Linux
Kernel: x86_64 Linux 5.2.9-arch1-1-ARCH

Why aren't you playing in your native resolution? :)

I published a non-official test-release of buildgdx yesterday in the discord. Try this one http://m210.duke4.ne...ldGdx_1.04b.jar

Just wanted to say that I've enjoyed playing through French Meat once again with this build,
and the only problem I've noticed was when I finished the episode the credits screen was all messed up.
Other than that everything seemed fine.

Edit: Also, when I bind the left mouse button it says "mouse10". It works fine in-game but I suppose it should be called "mouse1". Happens in both BloodGDX and DukeGDX.

I might be depends on your hardware, it's normal

I'll post this here as well. If you use advanced scaling in Windows you have to turn that off for the software renderer else it will scale the rendered result accordingly causing the right and bottom sides to be cropped out

You can reproduce it by just loading French Meat and clicking the Credits button in the main menu. Doesn't happen to me with Death Wish, FYI.

What's more weird is that when I load a savegame which is right at the boss area in the last level, the door that's supposed to open and let the bosses out doesn't open. I also don't hear Tchernobog and Caleb talk. When I load a savegame from before the boss area everything works as it should.

Here are the saves: https://mega.nz/#!6I...cJpBs8KLmk0Coa8

0 is at the boss area, 1 is before.

Can you upload your french meat folder/zip? I can't reproduce it.

The hud also got garbled for me in a simliar way. I think it was when I was switching between software/polymost and changing hud size.

Also. Autoload folder does not seem to work for me in this release.

To clarify, I'm using the latest build that m210 posted, v1.04b.

Edit: Sorry, it happens only after I load a savegame twice, OR start a new game of any compressed mod (a mod in a Zip file), do a save and load it. The credits screen then gets garbled.

The type of music does not change - only the MIDI type is possible.
The "Autoload" folder does not work.
This is a test version of v1.04b.

The irony is that in the latest NBlood build I have the MIDI music is broken, all I get is static.

Autoload algorithm has been changed, so the old archives like skybox.zip will not work. The port is searching gamename.def instead of zipname.def now.

Another issues I will check, thanks for a report

Thank you for the clarification.

The "Autoload" folder now works. For example, there is skyboxes.zip with the skyboxes.def file and the "skyboxes" folder. I added the bloodgdx.def file to the archive, it should have a script:
include skyboxes.def
This must be done with each archive in "Autoload" - and new voxels and textures reappeared!

The ogg files are still not loading, in the log-file the message:
Can't load ogg file

Now VSync works fine for me in Polymost, a little worse in classic renderer.

Awesome, thanks!
Not to sound rude, did you by any chance looked into the savegames that I've posted earlier of the ending of French Meat not working right after loading a save? (I explained it in that post)

Yes, I have checked it. At least, quicksav1.sav is working. But it's working and in 1.04c. I don't think that I can fix something in the broken savegame file
