if it's just remakes of old scenes/scenarios in a cheap attempt at nostalgia grabbing, but not really contributing anything to the story or the franchise - then that's what it is.

depends on how you think Rt is managing the reviews - since they aren't updated live - they get vetted before they get posted.
depends on who you think RT is getting their money from (it's the people that produce & market hollywood films)
depends on if you think only 10,000 people watched the movie so far & left a review
depends on if you think a lot of the empty seats in sold out theaters are bought by the film producer & marketing company so they have the power to leave a brigade of positive reviews

Seems some people actually like the Rise of Skywalker (or try really hard to convince themselves they like it).

But yeah.. the movie was bad, somehow it managed to be worse than TLJ.
It tries so hard to be Endgame but at least the MCU did the legwork to earn all its epic moments. This movie did not earn anything, it's lazy as hell.

Ugh.. The way they brought back Palpatine was just the worst.

Btw. I still think that Attack of the Clones is the one I hate the most, I don't think Star Wars could ever get that low again but man, Rise of Skywalker sure as hell came really fucking close. Compared to this the Last Jedi was the Citizen Kane of Star Wars lol.

Yo, I finally got around to watching all of the Mandalorian (so far) and I really gotta say, it's good. I was reticent but open minded going in and I'm very impressed so far. They have dodged so many potential tragedies in these 7 episodes. I'm really only a fan of Empire Strikes Back, Dark Forces, and the Super NES games.

Seeing Space Bill Burr is the highlight for me though. Why the fuck is there a Space Boston and why don't I know more about it? I just wish Patrice O'Neal was alive to call him a fucking nerd for being in Star Wars.

I finally watched the Mandalorian (first 5 episodes) and I agree that it's a lot better than the movies. Actually, it's good!

Even the weakest episode so far, number 4, did a nice job with the AT-ST fight. I actually felt tention when I saw that thing slowly emerging from the woods.
Something JJ Abrams never even managed with his 10.000 Star Destroyers.

I used to love Natalie Portman a lot thanks to Star Wars (there was also Léon and Mars Attacks! prior), but she have felt so low ever since, she lost all credit from me when she bashed Star Wars in 2016, but it look like she got big headed since she played in Black Swan (although Winona Ryder did a much better work in the movie than her, especially for me)
