Hmm, not to be a downer but the Steam release is looking pretty lazy unless they missed adding some stuff to the page. Where are any Steamworks features like Steam Cloud at least...?

Understandable concern trust me though they were not lazy at all on this game in fact Kaiser is still working on it. And I think they are still updating the page on steam. But here is some interesting things

New features include:

Support for high resolutions, and widescreen
Improved gameplay and level design
OpenGL for video backend to provide portability and support for vertical sync
Dynamic lighting, bloom, FXAA, enhanced water effects, lights shafts and more
Ability to freely rebind all keyboard, mouse, and gamepad inputs
Steam Achievements

Even this doesn't really do how it is in game the justice it deserves. Well I am a die hard fan as you guys know but that would make me more picky wouldn't it? This game is where its at best way to play Turok.

I wasn't saying the port was lazy, I know very well about Kaiser and talk to him occasionally, just that the Steam release seemed barebones but the store page is still being updated so there are no concerns now

Doesn't matter to me i'm to excited to be put down anyone could try Turok is back so I don't care. Not understanding your downvotes to me though I gave you one because I am excited and first post I see here was somewhat negative. Figures though

Look man I like single player but I love coop more, I like teaming up with others it more funner playing with others and not byself, If you want to play Turok byself go right ahead.

The biggest improvement IMO is doubling the draw distance. T1 was a very foggy game, but this changes that lost in a mist feeling to really show the levels off. I've only read up on Turok EX a bit, and watched the trailers, but I know immediately it's going to make the game environment much more enjoyable.

Its better to play now actually hehe  but you may not notice all of the improvements especially not in the level design. But it is a better time to give it a new shot much better game now all around.

That is more reasonable then just saying ill'e pass I maybe misread it a bit. Sure ill'e play Turok by myself I have already been doing that even on the old one. But now the classic pc version and n64 version look good on my shelf from here :)

Take the N64 cartridge pick it up hehe now take out everything that wasn't so good or made you feel meh and replace it with gold. It could be the gold cart version :(

Reading the gog games reviews guy saying it alot for $20, it not alot if you want to talk about alot talk about Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeros $40 bucks for one level and 3 to 4 side missions took me about 8 to 10 mins to beat the main mission, I think it the right price for Turok pro-ply more since they are adding Map Maker editing tools

This is awesome can I post it on my Turok forum? I will say its from you

Seems my review on steam took a lot of heat. I don't care though I even state its from a die hard fan. The level editor will help out but seriously they didn't just pick the game up and kick it into the world.

20 bucks is a little rough. Kaiser and Night Dive deserve to get paid, but that's a lot for just one classic game, especially considering the stuff GoG offers for less than 10.
20 bucks for both games, 15 bucks each tops, would IMO be a fairer price.

At that price I'm gonna wait for Turok 2 to release and buy that. I liked it more than Turok 1.

Kudos on Turok being out!

Say, do you know if there's a console command to turn off the strafe view tilt?

Also for the record, I notice the game looks much better in 1280x1024 than in 1080p widescreen. Maybe there's some stretching or something in the widescreen, it just looks a bit off when you look around in widescreen mode to me in this game.

Still, looks like a pretty solid job so far, I dig the extra view distance and whatnot.

Eek, that price, what is Night Dive thinking? I can understand that Kaiser put a lot of work into it but Strife for example isn't that price and includes multiplayer and several other enhanced graphics.
