It is a unique experience
I recommend seeing it complete with the trailers to have the authentic experience.
Of the two I liked Death proof the most. It stagnates a bit in the second part but the persecution conquered me.
Planet terror starts strong but from the second half I have the feeling that he does not know where he wants to go.

Saw Cloud Atlas for the first time, which was surprisingly great. Laughed my ass off at the yellow-face.

This film is basically if David Lynch and Jan Svankmajer had a baby with a Chilean folk artist. Very peacefully incredibly disturbing, definitely suggest a watch.

It reminded me that there was a fanmade Cube video game online and I went to check on it again but it still doesn't look like it has advanced into any of the advanced features the designer wanted to add. But it looks really nice.

And no, it has no woke in it, except for the gender bent Dr. Liet Kynes. Which... whatever. I can live with it.

Also watched Van Helsing with Hugh Jackman, which was very mediocre - the dialogues might have been some of the worst written ever. And re-watched brilliant Lighthouse, which is as good as when I watched it for the first time in cinema. Just a perfect horror, can't find any flaws in this movie - and after this and The Witch, I can safely say I'd take anything from Eggers blindly.

To be honest I though the movie was allright. I just hated the fucking soundtrack. It was so loud at times I could not hear the dialogue.
@Aleks
Honestly I also consume a lot of korean media (thanks to my sister lol), and I'm starting to like it more than the shit that westerners spew into the god damn etherm this days. I'm not a fan of the Cowboy Bepop live action adaptation.
ON a related note, I saw the first 5 episodes of the Foundation yesterday instead of sleeping. I absolutely hate it. I hate it with a fucking passion. They totally massacred Issac Asimov's work. Fuck whoever was involved with this piece of shit.

I really liked it. One character did get gender swapped which I guess could impact your enjoyment of the film if you care about that sort of thing. But that aside it was quite faithful to the book (so far, it's only the first part of what will hopefully be a 2-parter)

I mean, kinda. In the books Paul is more confrontational and "sassy" then in the movies. The meeting with the reverend mother at the start of the book is very different from what was shown in the movie. You could argue they lowkey misrepresent Paul's character at times. Same goes for the practice session with Halleck . Hawat was practically left by the wayside. But given the current political context in American society at this time I think it is an acceptable adaptation. Story wise it could have been much worse.

You forgot to mention what film you are talking about, it wasn't until well into the text that I realised it must be the new Ghostbusters
Anyway, watched Black Widow, which was just another generic Marvel movie, unfortunately - good to watch with a friend and a couple of beers, but nothing I would remember by the time I watch the next MCU. It did feel like there was more potential to it, but they just made it super schematic. Also I absolutely hated Florence Pugh acting in this one, her voice and accent sounded like she practiced by watching Ukrainian porn.

Full disclosure: I had to get high as fuck to even watch this movie. I think I wouldn't have been able to contain my own cynicism to even finish it without. I'll probably never watch it again unless there is some alternate/deleted scenes and some nerd makes a fanedit.
