At the end of episode 1 when James' character said they needed to expand, I had no idea it would be into drug dealing Posted Image

Know the "AMMC monthly" magazine texture in DN3D?

In the map Galbadia I turned it to 'AMC'. Makes "AMC mony". I don't believe anyone ever noticed that though!

Also, just letting you know I am stealing some assets (just some .wav files) from the TC for my own mod, not that you'd take issue given the circumstances.

You need to ask permission in advance before presuming you can take whatever you want, unless such permission has been explicitly granted in the mod license.

I'm pilfering already-pilfered assets. I'm looking for specific files that I know are not protected by any copyright license AMC TC may or may not have. Also, I'm saying "I'm taking this", therefore letting James know in advance. He is free to object and I can list the files I want just in case I do unintentionally take original content that was created for the mod.

Considering that the mod features a digital truckload of pilfered assets itself, some even from the game I am modding in fact, there should be no issue here. All I have my eyes on is five or so files.

Yeah I don't care, pilfer away! I don't know if Hendricks has actually played the TC but my stance on that stuff is "YOLO, give credit where it's due"

I believe the footstep sounds were from CS:CZ, with a few from Undying (the footstep board sounds)

I assumed that'd be your viewpoint.

Hendricks should play the mod, it is fantastic regardless of any unoriginal content, and as DT said, it's pretty much a requirement to borrow assets be able to mod these old games these days considering content creators aren't lining up at our doors.
I personally try to keep borrowed content to a minimum, but a few assets here and there can't hurt.

Which package/s are those sounds located in, and what is the commonly used tool to extract them?

You'll need to grab some grp tools (Duke repository probably has some) and then extract the sound files from the AMCTC.grp - I think the step files are still in wav format so you won't need to worry about converting them from voc format.

Cool, to be honest I never heard much from the Eduke32 team themselves about the mod. I never took it personally but I did wonder if you guys did check it out in the end.

Definitely, actualy reminds me I haven't told it ^^ proof being the fact I'm still playing today (mostly for the last acheivement but I think I can forget it cause I'm barely at 80 000 kills and it requires way more than that :) a bit abusive)

Allied Military Complex - it's also a reference to Alejandro's mapping center, where all of the main team used to post. Most of them have moved on now, but the name has stuck and it's fairly distinctive.

What mod, AMC TC? I played it a long while ago and was really impressed. I left feedback on Megabase once, IIRC. That's one hell of a map. I might even have finished AMC TC v1, but can't recally that distinctly.

Oh I know you've checked it out since you've helped out with the SVN a few times :) like I said I don't mind if the other guys haven't played it because I think they're more interested in Duke himself as the character rather than mods that don't really have him in it, which is understandable.

I still don't understand what happened with the PB stuff because I still remember fixing it myself...it's really bizarre. Cheers for the file name stuff though!
