Duke Nukem Reloaded abandoned? "An interesting facebook post."

So Fresch used GBX to get a vacation, and risked putting a franchise on life support.
GBX used Fresch to cover their ass, but it blew up in their face.
The lack of professionalism in the video game industry is exactly why I got into IT.

Hearing that he put his face in the game with whats probably a jersey shore body doesnt help things, dick head much? *Fresch* - "All the time!". Acting like he created Duke Nukem, please.

No, I had that theory before I was on the team and was only a moderator then. It has nothing to do with being on the Interceptor team or what goes on between GBX and Interceptor since Reloaded is put on hold.
I had that idea when I heard that Reloaded got a license and that DNF won't* get mod tools about one year ago already.
EDIT: Read Ripemanewone's post too late. Yes I am still part of Interceptor and will continue to work for them and support them.

Well I hope you are payed well because that shit they pulled with DN3D:R is a bad start, bad karma if you will, why start a company with an epic fail? Should it not be the other way around? I would have though that would have made sense as opposed to pissing off an old gamer community like Duke fans with such a complex history of dissapointment. Anyway I dont blame you, and wish you well with your career, I think maybe you could find a better ship to sail on though. As if Intercepter cant pull off a remake of one of the best games ever created with a licence some would probably literally kill for what hope have they got.
I could be wrong you guys could become innovators or just another faceless corporation only interested in personal wealth whatever the cost, but judging by the way fresch handled that DN3D:R fiasco Id bet on the latter.
PS what ever happen to more info in a week or 2?...nevermind.

If there's somebody capable to make a classic game fail, I think it's Randy Pitchford and his gang of bankers mixed with people like Fresch.
So if you wake up one morning and find yourself hating duke 3d for no reason, then think of Gearbox possibly having something to do with it and with time travel.

As I've said, I bear no hatred toward Duke Nukem 3D. In fact, I still rank it as one of my most favorite games of all time. The mere fact that it itself has nothing to do with modern first-person shooters is what keeps me playing it. As far as I'm concerned, however, Duke Nukem Forever doesn't exist, and I couldn't care less what Gearbox is doing with the franchise since I have fan modifications.

So is he trying to stomp out the cancer of Duke Nukem? Good Luck.

You forgot the part where the only man who can wear a fishnet t-shirt without being a faggot is Glenn Danzig.

Maybe they just want to start from scratch as a "serious" dev company and they want to use a sponge and cover up the fact that their first public project failed bad.
They might want silence about Duke Nukem 3d Reloaded so that nobody else gets to hear about it and judge their next commercial project, based on their failure with DNR.

true.
to be fair, I kinda liked the pig cop they did. Some impressive textures on it. Whoever is in charge of textures, did a good job on it. Miles away better than DNF's.
Everything else was just forgettable. I don't think the shotgun on the screenshots is the Winchester Defender from Duke. If is supposed to be, is not very well done.

i just wanted to drop by and say THANK YOU fresch! THANK YOU to turn down the only option we had to get a nice duke mod. i am one of the many that tried several times during the 3drealms times to get permission and was turned down every time.
In the name of all duke fans and mod creators, thank you that you hyped the shit out of us and the media, and to be just another let down in the end.
because it was a special opportunity i really hoped that it would turn out to be something nice. but you put it "on hold" and cancel it because you weren't allowed to release screenshots? seriously?. wow. thank you.
i just had to say that. it's not that i care that the mod has been cancelled or put on hold BUT i do/did care for the license.
i guess what you do now is copy duke, rename him and create a game out of it (pathfinder).. A game some people will notice, but a game that will drown like the other hundreds of fps games that get released by half serious teams all over the planet each month in the ammount of fps games that get released by the pro teams.
Is that worth the effort? My personal answer is NO it's not - but maybe i'm plain wrong and you are the best game producer on the planet with the best publisher out there and i'm just a talking idiot with no idea about anything.
i don't care - i only care about the duke license.
