I actually won a case of mooting today (mock law court). I'm the captain of my team, and we didn't win the last one, and I didn't expect to win this one after getting half way through, but we ended up winning by 1 point, simply because the other team's solicitors didn't bother to write notes!

@ Mr. Reaper Man - Gearbox - I think the insect authority aka moderators played too much Duke Nukem Forever, it affects their judgement, thinking they are the Duke(s). Just a wild guess. And how is the voxel business? Posted Image

I'm not sure what it does, but it looks smoother. Not as smooth as my 60 FPS script, but it's smoother than 24 FPS. Oh, and to actually playback a movie with 5:5 pulldown on a 120 Hz TV, you must turn off Samsung's Auto Motion Plus technology or equivalent. Auto Motion Plus, is what gives movies the "soap opera effect" or makes it look like they were shot on a video camera, because it inserts extra frames. The 5:5 pulldown method just repeats each frame 5 times, thus doesn't have to do any guess work. This is probably what you were talking about. I guess where the artifacts come in is sometimes the AMP feature has trouble guessing where to interpolate stuff.

Dejudder video

Hey, do you want to hear a joke? I was born at 7:10 PM and my brother was born at 7:11. I don't know whether 7-11 exists overseas, but to you guys in Europe and other places, that is a convenience store.

I think i'm just going to post here for now on, its nice to have an intelligent conversation with people who don't act like dicks when you disagree with them.

I don't know. You left us for them quite a while ago...we may not want you back. I mean, we have moved on. Things change after so long. We threw away your shampoo and tooth brush.

His mom is like Micheal Jackson, she has no nose and she is a 50 year old white woman. She had no problem because she couldn't smell. :D

I'm not sure which burn was worse...I mean, you insulted both me and Mickey's mother.

Do you kiss your mother with those fingers? Er, I mean, you know what I mean.

Your post mortem humiliation of Michael Jackson will not go unpunished. It is still too soon!

He might. Then we'd have Zombie Jackson. He'll make a special new video of Thriller for the occasion.

Okay I think I know what the TV does in terms of motion interpolation. I've tried this using an encoding program and it basically changes the framerate of the movie from 24 FPS to 60 FPS, then makes sure the audio syncs up. Using Avisynth, I think the command is ChangeFPS(60000/1001) or 59.94 FPS. It doesn't have to do any guess work, because I watched The Dark Knight, and there is a scene where the camera pans towards a window and the clown blows out the window and slides down to another building. It was at the very beginning. Anyways, the artifact was some flickering on the window, but with my plasma, there is no flickering.

I don't want to be the dick who tells people clicking "reply to all" in a message that everyone gets their little personal conversation and, as much as I like getting email, I don't care for their little conversation that has nothing to do with the other people being messaged.
On the other hand, I do already have a reputation as a dick in some circles so I suppose it wouldn't be out of character, especially since I don't know them and may never meet them.

Bought some new cat food for Cosmo today and he has been trying to rip a hole in the bag for about 3 hours now. The hole is pretty small, but he definitely looks hungry.

Why ReaperMan? Why?

You should say 10 Hail Mary's and make voxels for the babes in Duke Nukem 3D Posted Image

I'm not much of a hockey fan, but I heard the Vancouver Canucks are going to the Stanley Cup Finals.

Very very true. My Make-Me-Laughs aka Toronto Maple Leaves ... well long and sad story. But at least one Canadian Team made it. Posted Image

Calgary Flames are pretty bad. In 2004 I think, they made it to the Stanley Cup. It was game 7 I believe and the goal was disallowed because of some silly thing. We haven't won the cup since 1989.

They actually brought the Stanley Cup here to show everyone in 2004, so I went down to city hall to have a look. I don't know if it was the real cup, but I got to touch it. When we had the Grey Cup here in 1998 I think it was, I actually was allowed to pick it up.

They need another Lenny McDonald, a real leader with a real heart. I remember those games. I worked in Calgary at that time, and met him. Super Cool dude, real class, and humble, considering his fame. - Anyway. 1 June first game for the Canucks - best wishes. Posted Image
