He is trying to figure out why so many people are online...I am also confused. I suspect that once the game hits and people beat it, there will be record breaking activity. If modding ever takes off, there will be more activity.

Well if you look at the time i posted that and then look at the time when most people where on, you would see Duke4 hit a new high. Could of been from the demo, could of been because GBX was closed, who knows.

@ Mr. Flibble and Reaperman ( heavy into exams I guess) There is a club called Duke Nukem First Access Club. They were waiting for the demo to be released so they can play it first and post their scoop first. So they hung out at gearbox and duke4. Gearbox' forum closed and started posting messages on their front page. The party started rolling when Gearbox posted a message directly to DavoX, proving someone at Gearbox is actually reading posts from duke4.net. - It's not about the demo or even the game yet, it's about hanging out knowing when the wait will stop.

Well, it isn't new that people flock here when the developer's forum gets hit. It happened back in the old days when 3DR would release thumbnails and chaos would ensue so people would post here since the servers here didn't crash.

So...does anyone else feel like there are a ton of people with small penises invading the DNF section to talk about the demo? Or maybe they are a bunch of PMSing girls, can't tell the difference between the two since both just yell and scream angrily.

At this point I've given up on arguing against the DNF anti-fanboys. Its a waste of time, and if they're that filled with bile and hatred over a game, then you're gonna get nowhere arguing with them. Just let them have their meltdowns and "FUK U IM CANCELLING MY PREORDER THIS GAME IS RAW SHIT" crap in peace, and occasionally laugh at them for being overdramatic babies.

Yeah. What's cool is that, no matter what happens with DNF, people here will still be editing DN3D even if the rest of the Duke-related world is caught in an endless DNF ROX/SUX flamewar.

Arguing with fanboys is practically the same, they don't believe anything is wrong with the game. Personally i think both sides are annoying, i hate it when people group thing into two different extremes (its either amazing or its pure shit).

No, it's not "just a fucking game". People can be passionate about various things, be it collecting stamps or playing a game. You say like arguing about anything other than life-defining topics is useless and idiotic since "it is just a fucking [insert anything]".
Of course everyone is right about their opinion about the game, but the game still has factual gameplay moments that could be discussed into whether or they look/feel good and for what reasons. I haven't played the game/demo, but I can understand why people want their opinions to be heard and argued.

I don't think you see people that are passionate about stamp collecting having community-wide meltdowns over something big. That's more in the realm of people in entertainment like TV show fanboys.
They have a right, but at this point its just turning into a gigantic flamewar with people arguing for the hell of it. You can't say "I liked the demo" without being hounded by a legion of haters, and vice versa. Both sides need to shut up (the haters moreso). Its getting ridiculous and it needs to stop.

The forum is one of the free forums around. Right now it's only about the demo, and only a few have the demo. There are a couple of jerks around, but this is what the rating thing is for. I just figured out the Chicken of the Egg question...from an evolution stand point, the egg came first. The evolution took place during the hatching. The dinosaur descendant that laid an egg was not a chicken, but the animal that hatched from the egg was a chicken.

I am so sick of all the Duke Nukem Forever talk. I'm just as excited about the game as everyone else, but suddenly there's all these newbies on the forum making all these posts. I used to enjoy this forum as a smallish community of dedicated Duke fans, but now it's a mess. Just because people used to play Duke Nukem 3D 10 years ago doesn't make them hardcore fans.
