The Post Thread

I looked at the thread (I'm really really bad at avoiding things like that) and agree with Helel's assessment of it.

I always wanted to go to Liberty university just for shits and gigs. It wouldn't be any fun now that the ole' lardass is dead, though.

Sure I did. Here is a 1:1 cover I tried to do with my guitar four years ago (9/8/2007):

The Youtube thing was just for fun.

Come to think of it, I've never understood why other people that are into Synthesizers seem to have this in-built fanboyism for Roland despite the fact they've never actually made anything decent since the 1960's and even that equipment was questionable and don't even get me started on Korg kiddies!
Seriously though, where does the Roland fanboyism come from? It's half the reason the industry is bollocks nowadays, I think the other companies probably just gave up.
Casio CZ was better than Roland Jupiter, it was cheaper than the Jupiter too, but the jupiter sold more... So what about the 90's, Yamaha MU was better than Roland's SoundCanvas series, but the SoundCanvas sold more and the Yamaha has a reputation for being rubbish, personally, I fail to see how Roland could consider the SoundCanvas (i.e. SC-88) a competitor, it sounds like a cheap keyboard as opposed to a decent module - using it in the PC (SCC-1) was probably a good idea, but even then it isn't really practical as it relies entirely on the CPU (Hence I preffered the UltraSound). And finally they brought out that JV-2080 (Circa 1998), which was still not as good as Yamaha's MU series, although I have to hand it to them on that one, it was a decent module, I certainly preffered it over the EM-U Proteus and the Korg's that were around back then.

If I want something easy/domestic to drink, I'll usually opt for a Miller Lite or Yuengling. I hate Budweiser products.

The smoke alarm went off in my apartment last night too...I heard it and thought "well, I don't smell smoke and nothing seems like it is on fire..." but I did turn off my computer on the off chance the noise came from the board. Of course, I also just went to bed...I'm going to die one day in a fire in my residence...

I hate the fucking things and I am more than willing to risk not having them around. Maybe I would feed differently if they weren't being forced on me with no way of adjusting or temporarily disabling them.

Also a co-op demo for Syndicate is coming out too; a remake of a game I know nothing about but its being made by Starbeeze who made the amazing Riddick games and the first Darkness.
