Yay! we are moderately educated people!

Can't you get some cheap plastic jars or bowls, cover the smoke alarms with them, then attach them to the ceiling somehow (perhaps with masking tape)?

"If your mother was involved in a fatal car crash that killed three people, where the driver was drunk and on drugs, and where she wasn’t wearing a seat belt, people would say she was a dumbass who had it coming, but just because Lady Di was a princess she gets treated like royalty!" - Dave Brockie

Eh, it depends. If someone makes a joke about lung cancer I usually laugh heartily even though I just lost my mother to it recently whom I love very much, yet it was her fault and I do not respect some of the poor decisions she made in her life. Now if someone said something that was false, that'd be different.
Also, have you seen the photos of the crash? I wouldn't be surprised if part of her was on the dashboard.

I don't know, wasn't it a Mercedes limo? Wasn't there a divider between the front and back? I know the driver survived (because he was wearing his seat belt) so it is hard to believe that her body managed to do more than bounce around the back seat. I don't think she was DOA or at least not splattered all over. It was a long time ago, however, so I may be wrong or remembering things wrong.

They did have to cut the roof off, but the rest of that damage was natural. I mean, it doesn't make the joke less funny. It's just like the old "Ya know Kurt Cobain had real bad dandruff? Yeah they found his Head and Shoulders behind the couch." Not entirely accurate, but still clever.

I actually met a Princess Zelda in a game and she was an actual princess named Zelda. She would bitch about the prince being a douchebag.

It's like people. If we go into a public washroom and all the toilets are a mess, we wouldn't want to use the toilet either.

As for public restrooms, when they are a mess, I see that as an open invitation to urinate on the floor, wall, nearby people and basically anything that isn't the bog, if they are going to take my tax and not keep it clean, I might as well get my moneys worth out of them in amusement value as this tends to upset other people - though I really don't reccomend this and I haven't visited a public restroom in about 7 years because my city still seems to find it somewhat acceptable to use the street.
