Incorrect, Duke 3D Next Gen is only coming out for PC due to licensing restrictions placed by Gearbox.

These are some dudes that are making a game and most probably also learning to do just that while they are doing it and you want them to release the game on 360 and ps3?
Don't you think that releasing games on those 2 consoles requires more than a few dudes with 0 budget and no deadline?

And Wii. And they have a budget. Several benefactors have donated hundreds of dollars to the project, over a thousand total, and they get more donations all the time. Granted, it's not much in the grand scheme of things, but it's enough to get some really good game design software, high tech computers, and anything else they need.

Unreal 3 does not support Wii, and that's the engine they use. When Reloaded is done in three, four, five or six years, then there probably will be a hack to port it to Wii, if Wii still exists that is. So don't worry, relax and wait.

Oh, I forgot, their forum locked me out. So I'm an official hater now. Looks like if you don't post there every day, you are cancelled. ;)

Actually it's been speculated everywhere that the current generation of gaming will most likely continue without new consoles for quite some time.

You sound like a politician, where is everywhere?

Have you checked Wall Street Journal? Things look very good for research and development, including consoles. The only catch, unlike the old days where leaders pushed the video card development with their game engine, game controllers are not fully implemented by the game makers, or very poorly, there is a mismatch. I think it will hurt those game makers not the console or it's development. But I'm not everywhere only here.

Yes, we'll turn all the detail settings up past what a console can handle and then we'll post a series of screens up on Photobucket. Then you can download them, and flick through them on your wii and pretend you are playing it.

the only reason why i agree with you that PC's suck is that you have to bloody upgrade it everytime a new and improved game is released xD that is why i like consoles. it just keeps on working in many years

I hope that one day there will be a PC only series of Duke Nukem, because these fucking consoles are destroying what Duke Nukem is, but the source of the problem comes from the developer, as they're making it fit for all the assholes that like Halo, Call of Duty and what-not, same with Duke Nukem 3D Reloaded, they said they're re-making it as if it were made today. No fast running is one that bugs the hell out of me, this is fucking waste of time.

Well upgrade as much as you can now so that way when advances are made you don't have to buy a new system for about four or five years, by then the computer chip power will have increased 8x or 10x more than they are now. At least that is if I did the math right following Moore's Law.

Idiot consoles are keeping gaming alive. I think thats far more important than sucky PC's.

Oh and Tea Monster your point about 360's is wrong.

No, brighthearted is right, consoles fucked everything up. Gaming could survive well without consoles, just buy a controller, hook it to your computer along with a TV and play. It's the fucking consoles that brought all the limitations and slowed everything down.

No. You tell that to 99% of gamers and I promise you they'd disagree.

If you tell that you're a smart person to 99% of the human population of any civilized country, I promise you they will disagree.

That would be as stupid as me saying that there is 99% of people who agree with me, because that's impossible for anyone, because everybody is going to have their own opinions.

PC's really are starting to suck. Games aren't primarily made for them anymore and they all come out with a heap of glitches. iD Tech, Source engine, etc. games will always be awesome on the PC though. I'd have a PC for those games (and play all the awesome mods for them!), then have a console for the games that would have the better experience on them, which is most of all the games made today.

I don't care if consoles have limited graphicz or whatnot. We're on a forum centered completely around a hideous looking game from 1996 for Pete's sakes.

Not to mention, I will always have a PC to play Duke on.

Duke Nukem 3D is not a hideous looking game at all. It has a unique classic look that works very well for it and gives it a place in history that can't be taken from it.
It might look hideous to somebody that first saw it after it was already outdated, but for the people that played it back then(like myself) the game looks good!
Doom has even worse graphics than Duke 3D yet Doom is even more of a classic than Duke Nukem 3D .
It's all about the art design that works perfectly even today.
When you look at a painting with a boat on the sea, you don't obsess over it's realism, you just accept whichever style has been used to portray it.
If humanity would only accept photorealistic things, then all paintings would have to be replaced with high res pictures!
The triple A fps games from the 90's have went beyond outdated looks and have become art!
Everybody knows that art and never gets old!
