I think you're being a bit too extreme. From a business standpoint, Gearbox is doing what any sane company would do to maximize profits and to publicize the game.

Why Announce DNF's return at PAX but never thought of Making a Teaser or a PG Trailer for the Net?

Why keep those in the Forums in the dark with little or no Info for three/four weeks? And don't call a dozen interviews that say the same damn shit as Info. It may not be a big deal for those who been members of the forums long before Sept. 3rd. But I like many Became Members of the site right after the PAX Announcement. And most of us came from 3DR who been there for a long time and had to deal with there long years of quiet.

We still don't even know when the Demo is going to be released, so there is still no telling when you Club Members are going to get the chance first. And these Goodies, what are they? A few screneshots that probably not even from in the game and a little fucking Box under your Gearbox name. Woopdie Freaking Doo!

I wholeheartedly agree with this part of your post. This annoys me from a principle standpoint, not because of the money issue.
I also agree that even after you go through with this thing, the current extra stuff is worth nothing but that's how corporatism works these days.
Btw, I'm not sure if this is the case but from what I understand, everybody that own Borderlands can get this key, no matter if you own GOTY edition or not.
What I don't know, is if you can get the key just by buying the simple version of the game without the dlc.
If they give you the key without DLC too, then you can always buy Borderlands for about 19,99€ over steam.

Do you even question the possibility of the demo requiring a key? Lol, the demo will most likely demand a key from you in order to play it, but that's still useless.
I know people from skidrow that have cracked much more complex security systems in just a few hours.
I will personally make sure that the demo will be made public and fully working for everybody, but I'm obviously just going to be one of the many others.

Wasn't there something about a Certificate or something. I bet you will get a Message or something telling you want you need to do. But again, we don't know when the Early Access member will get to play it.

George may be the reason for the 12 year BS but At least he didn't flash his face everywhere, saying the same thing over and over and over. At least in 07 we got a trailer, sure it was a Teaser and there were not as much ingame stuff you want to see but tell me you didn't like seeing duke in a new light after so many years.

I love George as much as you but how can you say "at least in 07 we got a trailer(teaser actually)"? That's 10 years AFTER the game's original announcement!

And you re killing a guy that has just picked up the game and started hyping it one month ago! I would say bash randy after 10 years of waiting...not 1 month.
