DNF Demo included with Borderlands GOTY?

Well the Demo that you can play and see on the expo's has a ending picture with the thing released in 2011, buy now, follow us on facebook. So i wouldn't even be surprised if thats the demo for the public.

Demos for games like this don't get built over night and they also cost a shitload to make. After seeing how Gearbox is acting in a movie where all the scripts are written by 2k and the main actor is Randy Pitchoford, It's easy to realize what demo we will get.
Did anything from what Gearbox did until now, determine anybody to expect something special from them?
If what they are showing now at the expos isn't their only demo and they actually have a second one behind closed doors, I would be shocked.
I am far too old to believe in Santa marketing though.
I am not hyped about that expo demo after seeing it played so many times. I already figured what's up with the game and how the demo looks and plays.
The only remaining curiosities that I have about that demo, is to see how smooth it runs with keyboard and mouse and if the graphics are much better than what I've seen filmed from the screens, until now.
I hope the game will support AA in the menu or at least forced from the driver. I think it most likely will.

Well at First Look i was behind those "press closed doors" and you only get to see the trailer and all the footage but then with commentary.
I understand you will think that the demo is then spoiled for you. But seeing is something else then playing.
The Graphics looks like the BioShock (unreal engine) Graphics and that in my opinion doesn't look ugly it even looks very nice! Play the demo, you will not be disappointed.

Just got a reply from 2K Germany!

The DNF Early Access token will be in the German and Austrian versions too!

Just pre-ordered the PC AT Uncut one!

Seems kinda standard practice. Didn't the last four million Halo games have early beta access for those who purchased another lesser-known game (I know that's kinda different from a demo, but still), plus a whole bunch of other ones? Battlefield, Unreal, etc? No need to kick up a fuss about it. But what they say, everybody will eventually get the demo regardless if they bought Borderlands GOTY or not. I'm actually more interested in the "and more" than the demo, within the context of buying Borderlands GOTY or not. I can wait a couple weeks or whatever for a demo. I've waited 14 years already. If the "and more" equates to other serious bonuses, I might be more inclined. And yeah, whoever thinks the DNF demo won't immediately be available on torrent sites needs to not talk about things which he knows nothing of. For starters, it's well-known that generally, if something can be made, it can also be unmade.

These things seem unbreakable by most of us, since we don't know what the fuck we're doing. However, the type of person who has the knowledge to build such data protections also knows how to get around them. New technologies are broken in record times in today's world. The moment 'notable software x' gets released, somebody, somewhere, immediately starts hacking away at it. Since most softwares are protected by licensed middelwares, it's almost always the same procedure as a previous game bearing the same copy protection. When a new copy protection method is released, it is broken pretty quickly.

Because, I've seen this happen almost every single time in the last 5 years. Besides, all of my predictions about this game that were discussed until now, proved to be correct, so why would I start being wrong all of a sudden?
You just wait and see that I'm going to be right about this too. If I won't be correct about my prediction, I will allow you to call me stupid on the forum for one week!

But you can't guarantee it.

Also, I'll call you stupid whenever I feel like it.

I don't need to, if you weren't so keen to find something wrong with my post, you would have seen that I specifically said "I can almost guarantee" so I don't have grammar nazis bore me with their infinite wisdom.

No, you can't do it without me sending you to go fuck yourself and then reporting your for insulting me for no reason ;)
Allowing you to call me stupid for one week means that you can do that without having to deal with it after you do.

The fuss partially about the Borderlands GOTY which is a relatively old game. Because it implies that people who already owns the game and all of its DLC need to buy it again. That's what stupid. Because those people who buy new games are most likely the same audience that would like to play a demo of DNF earlier.

Lotam is right that people who have it and are annoyed to buy it again will be angry, but it's not that old, only almost a year. I think personally you should just buy your way into the DNF Cool Kids Club for $5.99 USD or something. Haha and get a free pair of Duke Shades and Demo Disk in every box. That would be happier for more people. ^^

I'm pretty sure as well. Like Unreal 3, DNF is using a deferred renderer and runs in DirectX 9 by default, but has the ability to take advantage of DirectX 10/11 to allow proper Antialiasing support and increased performance.

The reason for the DX10/11 support is because running a deferred renderer on DX9 normally makes it challenging to support full AA without bugs and slowdown, because of the way it renders the scene.

I'm going to get it, but more for the interest in the game then the Early Access. I would like to know what they mean by "Goodies" Trailer Maybe?

Since we can't see the Trailer from PAX(and if they showed it at First Expo) because of the Adult Content. Do you think they we'll keep most of the similar content out of the Demo? Its already know the Demo that will be release soon is different then the one played at the Expo/s but how different.

I guess what I'm really asking is. Is it going to be watered down or are they going to give us a small taste of what we expect in a Duke Game? Boobs, More Boobs and Extremely Bloody Mayhem.

If they put a water on it and we got a dumb demo, then I would be very angry for making a $50 USD purchase for the Borderlands stuff even though I also want Borderlands. >____>

Technically you don't have to wait in the mid day tomorrow in some cases. The game get to stores before the initial date so owners can get them on the shelves before open for that day. And since Wal-Mart (Waly World) are mostly open 24/7. You could probably go up there by 1:am and it be ready to buy. Then again, since the Demo is not in the game, its not really a big issue to do that. But you know where I'm camping the whole night before DNF Release.

Hehe yes, I could go the 1AM and get it, but I was just going to wait until after work because I will already be out of house. ^^ For DNF though I will be waiting and be the first one here to get it haha.

The Borderlands GOTY have been postponed to the 22nd here. Not sure if it applies to all of Europe or if it's just Sweden.

Anyone have a spare First Access Club key that has not been used and don't need anymore? If so, can I have it via PM?

...Seriously. You were told to stop on Gearbox, so you come over here and start? Buy a copy of Borderlands if you want a key. Dont expect people to give it to you for free.

Dunno if someone already posted, but previous buyers of Borderlands on steam get a DNF Early Access Code. Right-Click Borderlands in Steam, and click "CD Key".

If someone buys Borderlands on steam today, Will they still get the Access code?
