Is it just me or does this look like they had the access to the original models to you as well?

It looks more like they had access to the same 15 year old renders that have been floating around the Internet that everyone else has access to. :(

I was sure that the letters have details like the Duke Nukem logo.

Really? I made those out of the font. If they have details, it would need someone to export the data...

But as far I remember, I have not seen any detail in any screenshot... but I never actually played the game. :(

This in-game screenshot has a reasonable quality:

By the way, I need to make a much smaller outline on it, I will re-upload it (uncolored, I don't know the exactly color)

A white font like that is very good for modding. I used a white font for WGR2, and it looks great. One advantage is that tints work perfectly on it. If you use tints on tiles that are already colored, they tend to look muddy and crappy.

Ideally, it might be better program EDuke to use the native TTF or a vectorized version of the font to replace the menus. (As an option of course)

(off-topic)

Hahahaha, not if you know how to do it :(

For example, I did this now in one minute:

My memory may be faulty.

This sounds like a great feature, but I don't know how well it could be accomplished without massive effort or bloat. The bluefont and minifont were generated in vector by SwissCM and rendered to raster, so it could benefit them as well.

Ok so now we have all this is there any need to keep the mousemat scan? Apart from the fact that it is quite bad quality....

I don't see why we would still use the scanned mousepad, the XBLA version is way better ...but I wouldnt add that "warning adult content" text at the bottom that looks stupid ... I mean come on pixelated tities , don't need adult supervision.
also it should be kept in widescreen

Keeping it widescreen is easy but i only added the Adult content bit because if you actually look it is there in the original and the HRP. I was mearly trying to mimic the original art with the new stuff.

This is for valid research and discussion about the files themselves. We are still searching for Critical Mass, the quotes, and a way to get to the font data.

sorry for this dumb question, but i don't get what you are looking for! what do you expect to find exactly?

All well and good. But you wasted your time with the main screen by the way. Your resolution is out with the HRP.
This however isn't, and fits perfectly in the HRP.

You could of also taken some care as to blend the rifle fire on the right :)

Dude slow down. In your haste to shoot these out of your ass like Devastators your screwing up.
Take your time it will be worth it. Your 3D is missaligned.

I know man, I'm sorting it out and testing it now. Give me an hour and I'll upload a proper zip.

A sort of attempt of menu images/logos. Keep in mind this stuff was thrown together pretty quickly and isn't really intended to be used.

Yeah, that's probably what it is. Considering that the purple thing Duke is standing on and shooting in the face is an artistic interpretation of an enforcer/lizman it would make sense for there to be more than one funny looking monster in the full piece of artwork.

I might be getting somewhere with the source code to this. Got an e-mail back from GB yesterday asking for my phone number so we can sort out the situation with the source... it's a good first step, so let's see where it gets us. :)
