If you are able to play the game, and beach babes, beach balls, dragons, etc. appear, and Enforcers don't, they were patched correctly.

1) Check if conflict-causing original versions of the add-on CONs are present.
2) Determine the GRP's version, if applicable or possible, and verify the GRP's integrity,

If your current setup follows The Commander's idea of having a separate repository, then exporting it, I highly recommend that you move the actual repository folder (not an export) to match the description given in the instructions, and the batch file will now automatically keep it updated for you, using SVN software if it is installed. (Note: SVN software is not bundled with the pack.)

Am I reading this incorrectly, or does it think your EDuke32 directory is C:\Windows\SYSTEM32?

If you want to do any normal maps or things like that, feel free. Polymer support is always welcomed.
Be sure to optimize your PNGs using this: http://hendricks266....png_optimize.7z Don't use it on normal maps though.

Installing vaca+ didn't go really smoothly: it couldn't find the files on my CD because I have the dual-release (where D.C. and Caribbean are on one disc). Fixed this problem by copying the SSI files to the vaca+ folder. After installing it I tried to run it but eDuke crashed.
Am I wrong on the eDuke version being the last good version for co-oping? might there be something else?
On a side thing, I tried to unpack the SSI files myself to play vanilla Caribbean but noticed that it didn't unpack vacation.con, preventing me from playing.

I didn't know there was a DC/Caribbean combo CD. If you give me a directory index for the CD (via PM or email), I'll add support for it to the installers. You can do this by typing:
dir /s >C:\dcvacacombo.txt
at a command prompt in the root of the disc. It will create "C:\dcvacacombo.txt".
I don't think there should be anything really preventing use with that old version. Post your eduke32.log file and I'll try to diagnose the problem.
I don't remember the exact setup, but vacation.con is either originally inside the vacation.grp, or it's found elsewhere as game.con. In any case, Vaca+'s CON files take precedence over the originals.

These messages are caused by the absence of the HRP. If you don't want it, don't worry about it. These errors won't harm anything.
Fatal Signal caught: SIGSEGV. Bailing out. g_errorLineNum: 0, g_tw: 0
Unfortunately, this is all the information that we get in the log about your crash. It's basically useless, other than saying you crashed.
In any case, the problem appears to be in that old version of EDuke32. Try r1551. That's the last version before TX took a chainsaw to the multiplayer code.

One texture has not been updated to its diffuse map though this might be intentional:
-vacation/textures.def: highres/textures/0545.jpg -> highres/textures/0545_d.png
(0545.jpg would not be found in a (not yet existing) Polymer-only version of the Duke3D HRP.)
Unused/undefined files (besides the extra folder):
-vacation/8bit/2544a.png
-vacation/8bit/blank.png
-vacation/dp/0660.png
-vacation/dp/0660_2x.png
-vacation/screen/menu/2492_wide.png
-vacation/skyboxes/89_sky_sea/sky_seaDN.png
-vacation/skyboxes/95_spooky/_spooky_bottom.png
-vacation/sounds/delete.ogg
-vacation/sounds/du_thiscruisesucks.ogg
-vacation/sounds/wind2.voc

These are used. Perhaps your script does not check all the available skybox tokens?

Thx. Will add them when needed. Searching for two-letter tokens doesn't feel good although it'd work by grep's -w option.

I've got a problem. For some reason, the game keeps mixing up sound files, and plays them in the wrong places
When Duke is supposed to say "I need to find a way over there" in Lost Lagoon, all I hear is an alien screech
When Duke is supposed to say "Hmmm, most interesting" he says "Hmm, book 'em, Danno"
When Duke is supposed to say "Ooh, I hate kiddy rides" he says "Hmmm, looks like I have the call"
I think there might be some more, but this is really out of the ordinary. Could there be something wrong with my sound settings?

Actually, folks, forget I wrote this, I've sorted it all out, I just reinstalled Duke VacaPlus and it now runs beautifully
Everything looks groovy on here, by the way, keep it up and Hail to the king, baby!
