In Germany you can't kill people in video games.

Yes, that's because violent computer games are evil. They warp people's minds and make them run amok.

You didn't know about the draconian laws in Germany about killing people? carmagedon had to have robots instead of people. Wolfenstien was just out right banned but I think they allowed it if it was without nazis. There are a lot of games that had to be changed to have robots or something instead of people in it in Germany.

:S

Well, the US got so many violent games about people, I remember Postal 2 that never goes on EU, and that was really violent... Germany keeps the minds of their people ;)...

I thought that most places had those. Even in the USA its still frowned upon.

In Germany it is allowed to own every uncut or indexed videogame. But before videogames can be sold in a shop it must be approved by the USK.
To get an approval from the USK, many violent games have to be cut or they can get indexed, that means shops can't offer them.
USK does exist only in Germany, so most people buy their uncut german copy in Austria or Switzerland.
If there is no uncut german version of a game, because developers were to lazy, people get an UK Import.

So yes, in Germany you can play Wolfenstein or Postal 2 without getting in trouble with the law.

So basically the law just punishes shop owners without accomplishing anything.

In the U.S. we can have it all in the games. You just have to listen to the touchy-feely do gooders complain mainly about degrading women and killing cops in them.

In Colorado, you are allowed to shoot trespassers. You have to give them 3 warnings though.

So it goes like "Getorfmahlandgetorfmahlandgetorfmahland" BRADDDA-BRADDA-BRADDA-BRADDA.

If you thought 3 warnings was fair dues, then you don't know that most plots of land there average 5- 40 acres. So you wouldn't get to the top of the driveway even before you became a leaky meat puppet.

GTA IRL...

Well, you don't have some visit for ads or something like this ;), but the discussion is on Decay TC, nobody works on it yet ?

Mblackwell and diehard are busy with Blue Skies, I'm busy with WGR2 and personal stuff, Hellbound and Hudson are busy with their personal stuff too, so pretty much It's not being worked on.

I've got my decay folder so there shouldn't be any loses, except the new zombie we were working on with Hellbound, he lost sources for it and I've got only few stages of texture plus a *.psd which I used for texturing - the zombie's model is in there as a 3d layer (no animations though), I'm not able to open it since at the moment I'm working on a pretty much crappy comp and I don't have enough ram :| If anyone knows how to rip a model from a 3d layer I'd be thankful (I can't open it and mess around myself)

Since I can't show you any pics I've found some pics on the decay dev forum (I'm amazed it still works!)

Those were from the "more WIP version that I currently have" plus it was made a while ago so I'm pretty much better now ;)

Cage, can you send it to me?
I'm quite busy with Blue Skies too, but as soon as that is finished, I'd like to work on DECAY too.

Edit: Tried it, couldn't make it work. ;)
But i'll make another one.

That is looking quite nice. Once we get Blue Skies near completion we should definitely start transitioning over to Decay development full-tilt.

I still haven't seen any posts from interested mappers though! If a mapper was interested they could get working and complete quite a bit while Blue Skies was still in progress.

My face would need some more work IMO, to make it more photo-like or necrolike. Now it looks like a guy from some comic, but sprayed with blood ;) Anyway, we would need a lot more textures or kinds of models for zombies.

Yeah, the face is handpainted, i'll give it a makeover once Blue Skies is done.
Hellbound, could you animate that thing?
My animations are all puzzled together and crappy.

If I'll find how to export stuff from Maya - I'll be able to animate it.
