Yeah. Have you built those models?

No, but I have edited them.
What is your point exactly, I don't understand you I am afraid.

project#1 tho Going to Do All My Friends Houses In Duke

Reminds me of many years ago...
Who can honestly say they never tried to make their own house in build when they first started mapping. <_<

I still have my lame attempt of my latest house in my online folder somewhere. <_<

My point is that seems like you got a couple of models and you´re showing them in the ¨what are you workin...¨ thread. But if you edited/re-skinned them or whatever worth of calling it ¨working on¨ then fair enough.

Yeah, they are not simple conversions. Some of the models need a bit of time to get into the md3 format as they come from a format that is not very common, then the new skins need to be sorted and stuff.

Plus the picture also had a poor pun at TF2 that no one picked up on. <_<

I can! Though I've got to admit I'm still working on my school's library which is slowly coming along.

I've tried it in Blood before, which worked well because my house was built in the 1930's and is a 1920's construction (Which has since been found as defective <_< <_< )
I might give it a go in Duke 3D you know, I never tried it in that and was thinking of maybe making a one-off map to get the hang of mapster better so I make less mistakes in my TC (I've only really mapped for Blood before and a bit of SW) and I was struggling for an idea of something to do, I might start work on it soon and use actual textures from the area. "The Preston Road Adventure" I'd call it, and you'd have to go and shoot up the damn rent office (Not that I would do that in real life you understand).
You see some images of the area in this vid (vid obviously isn't mine).
Yeah, I think I will start work on this map, shouldn't take too long, maybe I'll do one of another local council estate (Bransholme) at a later time.

Coming along April 2010

Not for faggots

Duke Nukem 3d usermap for Eduke32/jfDuke. Eduke32 software mode recommended. Also very suitable for Dukeplus, offering some extra value due to the special effects added for the mod. Polymer lights are also featured while as HRP should not be used

One of the "GODS" has been captured for study in a secret lab, from my work in progress Ancient Rome map. Due out sometime after DNF <_<

Been spending the day in Max editing models, shifting weapons around a bit and got two in so far.
They are low poly and nothing to flash but they should get the job done and the LAW looks better than the hunk of crap I use to have. <_<

I've done some more work on my school's library, and the top floor is about halfway there. Here's a 12 second video showing some sprite tables I made getting blown to smitherines with the RPG.

http://s734.photobucket.com/albums/ww345/c...killstables.flv

The problem is once I've blown up the tables, the space looks quite empty. Are there easy ways to fix this? (ie leave stuff behind, I'm already going to add more stuff to the walls)

It's impossible to stretch one's fingers like that, other than that I like the general look you're coming up with for the mod.

Unless I'm missing something here, it's obviously his right hand that rest up on the launcher.

Yes, thats correct. I am not sure what Daedolon was looking at but he linked to the wrong LAW, the M79 Law is rather small than what the other mods in the past have made it out to look like.

I suppose my guy's hand is resting more on top than that these pictures show. (I will make some changes any how to make it look better)

I was thinking 2 the hands were mutant but I knew that it was actually 2 hands

It's the angle then, or the arms are too close to each other. Whatever the case, thought I'd just point it out since if it bothers me, it probably will bother other people as well.

Don't worry I've found a solution to my problem. I'll only make a few sprite tables destructable but those few will leave behind sector debris.

I made a quick vid of what it should look like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FyXhkbZ5Zxw...e=youtube_gdata

I think you might want to practice scale a bit. Unless the tables at your school are up to your chest and the computer monitors go above your heads.

This is probably the most common flaw I've seen in Duke maps. Usually your standard table doesn't go above your waist or something, and the doorknob on the door sure as hell ain't the same height as your head.

I wasn't aware it was that bad <_< is there some button to bring yourself to the player's height in mapster? And I assume the doornob you're talking about is a general mapping problem and not for my map, otherwise I'm really confused <_<

I always make a 64x64 texture for scale. It's right above the player's head, and exactly one grid square area. Then when editing make sure to turn gravity on so you stand at the proper height.

You should keep in mind to check the height with the view mode (F7) in order to get it right from the beginning.

I had different hand models in IW at one point (like tropical far-cry style arms for sunny locations) but took them out a while back...I've figured a space-efficient way to add them back in <_<

I'm planning on doing a Marathon themed map. I've already got a set of highres textures, and I've replaced some of the duke weapon art with Hires marathon weapon art. It's not perfect but it's something. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFRZlBLRQ6Q...e=youtube_gdata

Good looking screenshot. But what the hell is that blurry brown thing on the boat?
