I have a radical idea: why don't they hire David Eddings who was the original voice of Claptrap before he was unjustly fired after having an altercation with Randy Pitchford. Its a voice role for a robot FFS, its not like they need someoen who can physically act. Jack Black as Claptrap what a fucking joke, this movie is going to be complete trash.

Actually David Eddings have given his resignation and don't want to have anything to do with Borderlands anymore, he have even renounced to his rewards.
Why not giving Jack black his chance ? After all he is great in the present Jumanji movies (just like Kevin Hart) !

I also seen comments saying that Typhon Deleon is the worst of the characters, you litterally want him to die quickly...

Was he supposed to be in Duke Nukem Forever at the place of Dylan ?

I mean I love the gameplay of borderlands, and to an extent some of the character arcs. However, B3 story is a complete shit show.

The story of Borderlands 3 is not bad actually, it have its flaw for sure, but it is mostly misunderstood... and having rather novice writers working on it doesn't help

The character of Typhon Deleon have been based on Danny Devitto for the physical shape, and the name come from Juan Ponce de Leon https://en.wikipedia...ce_de_Le%C3%B3n

I had a great time playing this free weekend of Borderlands 3 and enjoyed every moments, although two details have attracted my attention most :
-almost 100 GB on the hard drive :huh:

-Its the first time I play a game using DirectX 12 and being stable

Yeah I noticed that its free now as a promotion for the upcoming Tina game. I downloaded it but didn't play it yet -- wondering if they put it on the BL3 engine and changed some stuff to incorporate anything from the new Wonderlands game.

I had a little time so I tried it out. It's definitely still BL2 engine, not updated to BL3. It looks like they made some balance changes to make the DLC more playable when starting with a level 1 character, but it's still the same old Dragon's Keep we remember. Graphics settings were at low/medium by default so it took a few minutes to fix that and of course set up the controls.

The only new content is a cutscene they added at the beginning which recaps the BL2 story. After that it plays that regular cutscene which starts Dragon Keep.

If a DLC can turn into a standalone game, then everything is possible !

Personally, I have it with Borderlands 2 VR which is also including all of the DLCs at the exception of "Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary" (but it could be included someday too)

Telltale hardly could have done it for the thousand reasons we know, just saying...

My biggest regret for Tales of the Borderlands was that there is no dubbing for non english languages, while all the other games of the Borderlands licence had

Yeah, the writing on Tales was actually good because it wasn't made by Gearbox. Given how crap Gearbox writing has been in recent years, we can assume the writing on their new Tales will be crap as well.

The writting of the vanilla Borderlands 3 have some flaws you can attribute to the novice writters, but its not really "bad"
but in the end, do (the majority of) players really mind about the writting in a Borderlands game, unless its really well written ?

The quality of the writing matters a lot in a Tales game, since it is essentially an interactive novel. Tales from the Borderlands was actually pretty good thanks to the writing.

Eeeeeeeeh, I never liked that much the tell tale games. The only ones I enjoyed was the Sam & Max ones, and nostalgia had a lot to play on that.

What are you talking about? It's absolute trash! It's so bad peeps stated removing the voice files from the game so that they didn't have to slog through the unbearable abomination of gay jokes and pop culture references the dialog is. Like, Borderlands 2 was cringe at times but the story was competent and Jack was a good villain. Borderlands 3 shits the bed when compared to it. The only thing Borderland 3 has over 2 is the gameplay.
