Yes! Redneck Rampage is great and even better that you make the port Just alone for the fact that you are doing such great work and putting your blood, sweat and tears into that project makes it even better
I've never done this before but you really deserve a donation from me

I got a sega saturn copy of Powerslave and it is a real nice game.
i played on the pc a little bit but it doesnt come close to the console versions.
Strange as it is typically the other way around.
Still a powerslave port would be cool, but only after Wichaven is done ^^ hehe.

Well, there's Powerslave EX, which is a remake of the Playstation version of the game:

Unfortunately, it has been taken down.

Powerslave EX Source Code Released
Posted on January 2, 2017 by Kaiser
Decided to kick off the new year by making the source code to Powerslave EX public, which can be found on my Github account. Since now that I barely have time for it anymore, I figured it would be interesting to see who else can do with it.
Additionally, I’ve re-activated my Twitter account and I will be making updates and announcements on there from here on.

end qoute.

What happens on the internet is never forgotten:

Just keep in mind that Powerslave EX recreates the PSX / Saturn version of the game which is a lot better than the PC version ever was but if you're looking for PC nostalgia you may not get what you want. There are a few extra features that make the game come closer to the PC version however.

I've heard they are different. In what specific ways I don't know. I assume the map design is different.
A port of the original Build version would be interesting because it's an entirely different game. Frankly I'm surprised that no one is adding Build Engine Powerslave features into Powerslave EX.

Yes, there are some differences. Some enemies have been replaced (saturn: red crabs, psx: blue scorpions), some maps have little changes, others are completely different. Some powerups are also exclusive (weapon boost on saturn, ...) and the saturn version has bomb-jumping. Finally, the dolls are located in different places.

One of the differences that I'm aware of is the ammo system : on the PC version all weapons have their own ammo whereas on the PS1 version all weapons share the same ammo but consume more or less unit of ammo per shot. And so on the PS1 version your ammo is represented by a bar on the HUD while on PC you got numbers for the weapon being held.
Also I believe there are a few levels specific to the PS1, I think the first level for instance is different in both games ...
ALSO both games don't share the same engines and so some levels that are common to both games are different because of adaptations to both engines, the PC version has a more evolved engine I believe and it has more verticality in certain levels than the PS1 version.
Finally speaking of WHaven and apart from EGWhaven I believe I saw somebody was working on a EDuke32 TC of WHaven but I don't remember where and he had said it was VERY early work. I believe I had seen it in the "Working on" thread but since he didn't specifically mention Whaven's name it's quite hard to find (he had showed pictures at least)

I believe Bruno Matei meant in comparison to the Saturn version, not the PC version. The PC version is pretty much a whole different game compared to the console versions.
Also I'm pretty sure the Slavedriver engine is more advanced than the Build engine.

For what I witnessed of the PC version I'd say the engine looks very similar to the Build Engine, however I don't recall it being capable of handling ROR like Build can (namely like the Tier Drop secret level) >_>
Are there really differences between PS1 and Saturn ? I thought they were just the same though I believe Saturn is known to handle dynamic lighting and 3D more efficiently than PS1 ...
However I'm definitely sure that the PC version has a different, more advanced, engine than the console versions.

The PC version is running on an earlier version of the Build engine. I believe ROR isn't actually a feature of the Build engine but the game that runs on it. Also I don't think Duke 3D uses ROR but I'll let someone more knowledgable chip in.

This isn't the place to go into detail about the PS1's hardware vs. the Saturn's. But in short, they are vastly different.
The Saturn version (at least, I'm not sure if the PS1 version uses its own engine) uses Slavedriver which is a true 3D engine.

The Saturn and PSX versions use Slavedriver, the PC is running on Build as others have said before. And - though this may be hard to believe but it definitely was the case in 1996 - Slavedriver is a lot more advanced than Build.

From the game's wiki page:
"The first version of the game to be released was on the Sega Saturn, shortly followed by a release on the PlayStation, with tweaked gameplay, added architecture, some different levels, and other changes. Both of these versions are based on Lobotomy Software's SlaveDriver engine and feature a true 3D world, similar to Quake. The same engine was used to power the Sega Saturn versions of Duke Nukem 3D and Quake."
Of course it's Wikipedia so you'll never know if it's right or not but every other site such as MobyGames lists the engine as Slavedriver.

Is anyone doing anything with Wichaven atm?
The wichaven games could be real cool if a proper port was realised. Just imagine better movement and controls at the very least could make these two games become so much more fun to play.
I would gladly donate some cash to anyone who makes a real windows port.
