I for one would also like the ability to have the "burning man" bug back. But if it's still hard to do then let it be, but if not let it be optional. I find it to be too funny to leave out entirely.

It's rather "merge difficulty and enemies quantity options" than "delete enemies quantity option". Separating these two will cause issues like this one, and difficulty setting does almost nothing anyway.

Btw, there is a two different "burning mans" - cultists after lava and zombie(only?) after flare pistol. And second bug still alive in bloodgdx.

Oh I think I get what you mean now! I thought what you meant was the game has code for two different sets of burning men but what you mean is there are two different bugs that trigger it, right?

Yes, there is a two cases to see burning guy. Lava can activate Cultist BG which can be killed in lava, so it's not exactly infinity BG, and second case activating by weapon, which can killed by dynamite.

2nd map of BloodGDX readaptation of Final/New Alone In The Dark, don't know if that happens only to me but the game suddenly freezes together with the java window anytime i get more or less around this area.

It does not always happen immediately but after some seconds. Probably there is a specific scripted event that java tries to load in this zone but can't.

Forcing FAITD to working with GDX might be a bad idea. It's an addon which has a lot of scripts. That addon must be giving headaches to M210 :P.

We shouldn't allow that a mere .RFS file deny our fun, make the reverse engineering itself was a bigger won challenge than this. And since the game was blocked in a limbo between the unplayable and the Dosbox problems for years, there are not that much heavily coded mods around so make specific fixes is still quite manageable at the moment. And moreover it's pretty obvious that if you repack and rescript your mod into a version for BloodGDX you want that the mod work on BloodGDX and any crash is not exactly in your plans.



Anyway: Check your PM M210, I sent the message on an already existing conversation to avoid to open another one.

As I said, it may not occur instantly. The first map work flawlessy, the general block (for now) happens only as you enter/walk in that part of the second map.

So, maybe it is just the excess of precache stuff to load that blocks the game under the mod :P?

I've read that RFS (and RFF) loading from zip's still a work in progress somewhere, maybe with some improvements of the reading system in the next version the problem will be resolved.

I installed Blood on a plug in drive just so I can mess around with mods and I noticed a weird issue. This issue didn't happen at all when I played the Death Wish mod. But I played through episode 1 and starting with the Carnival level I would have a weird sound bug where certain sound effects would play constantly until I loaded a quick save.

So now another weird issue: I re-installed the game on my C drive. I had another version on there that I messed up because I loaded the Blood Alpha levels that over-wrote episode 3. So I put BloodGDX in there and now I can save but it won't let me load. And when I close out BloodGDX and re-open, my save file is gone. Also, the launcher starts with the default settings every time I launch it regardless of what changes I make.

Edit: scratch this one. I forgot to drag and drop all of the correct files.

Because you haven't permissions on saving files in your folder. What folder are you using and what OS?

I re-installed the game on my C drive which is an SSD and this problem happened again. This time I was playing through Cryptic Passage and experienced no problems until I got to the Boggy Creek level and the sound problem happened again.

I've also experienced this sound bug as well with v0.789.

I'm playing with the game installed to my C drive (HDD), on a Vista 32-bit desktop.

I confirm this casual bug of repeating sounds, there is no specific way to trigger it because it can just happen at any moment but most of the time it happened in large areas where there is the echo. Sometimes a sound repeats in a zone for the rest of the level without stops.
