Bugs & Problems

I was tinkering a bit more with cutscenes sound. After watching all cutscenes I think that although they may be a bit out of sync it is so minor shift that is hardly noticeable. A big shift is only in Monolith logo and can be fixed by converting mono logo811m.wav to stereo (although quality of the sound seems to me a bit lower when I listen it in BloodGDX). Why? I have no idea, maybe M210 will explain. If somebody is interested in trying this, replace original wav with this: https://files.fm/u/g8w447uu and report back if it helped.

Yes, it's better, but not perfect.

Here is a video with Monolith logo from original game for comparison:

Do you still see a shift? I can't notice it with stereo wav. Only difference I see is that at the end there is small bit of video missing (BloodGDX does it with original mono wav too).

That "laser beam" sound at 0:13 starts at about 0:11 with your WAV file.

You might be right. But this is a difference like in other videos, hardly noticeable for me. Previously I had no laser beam sound at all.

Yes, the original file plays much worse.

OK. This is a very specific bug. Sometimes PSP creates PNGs that will crash BloodGDX. I solved it this time by resaving it in GIMP this time. I've uploaded one of the crashing PNGs here, in case it may help finding the cause

In the original game, the sound is played from the AVI files, where it is better and it in stereo.
We can take a stereo sound from the AVI files, if M210 adds stereo WAV support to its BloodGDX port.

I'm unfortunately still experiencing a lot of flickering/z-fighting textures on v0.776 w/ nvidia card.

It's bad on floors and ceilings. I don't think I've noticed any on walls though.

Yeah you're right, I don't think I've seen any flickering textures on walls either...

I have noticed that there's flickering/z-fighting on certain pools of water now though, which wasn't present in previous versions :/

CWHHROT v1.3's first cutscene doesn't work like it should (I'm using BloodGDX v0.777). Its sound is working but graphically it's bugged.

Any idea why high res tiles have a white outline when texture filtering is on?

In 0.777 gti.wav and logo811m.wav will not play if they are in subfolder like "movie" instead of main game directory.

I was playing Bloodlines TC and before I ended the level I had about 87 jumpboots, after the next level started it was full (100 jumpboots).

That's a bug in the original aswell. I even think this bug is in duke nukem 3d but with jetpack ofcourse.

Maybe a stupid question, but how do i fix this :

I might be missing something here, but it didn't happen in earlier versions.

Something is wrong with Middle textures in Cryptic passage levels (see-through textures, not sure what you call them in Build games), getting too close to them or simply aiming at something other than them while they're still in view turns them into Black rectangles.

Try to run BloodGDX from command line like this:
java -Dswing.systemlaf=javax.swing.plaf.metal.MetalLookAndFeel -jar BloodGDX.jar

Thanks for the help, but it still isn't fixed.
I did it like this:

It still shows the strange characters.

In v0.777 the fps counter in the corner of the screen sometimes flickers white/black, and if you check the map screen when the text turns black the whole map screen will also be black except for Caleb.

This was taken on E1M1 of Cryptic Passage, in the cavern area right in the beginning:
Attached File  Blood 1.jpg (92.68K)
Number of downloads: 8

And here is the map screen:
Attached File  Blood 2.jpg (34.01K)
Number of downloads: 7

If anyone else could check this on their game to make sure it's not just something on my end I'd appreciate it!

Not sure about Bloodlines TC, but I fixed this bug long-long time ago and I checked it, it's still fixed :)

Are you sure? I haven't any problems with wav's in "movie" folder
