Bugs & Problems

I was tinkering a bit more with cutscenes sound. After watching all cutscenes I think that although they may be a bit out of sync it is so minor shift that is hardly noticeable. A big shift is only in Monolith logo and can be fixed by converting mono logo811m.wav to stereo (although quality of the sound seems to me a bit lower when I listen it in BloodGDX). Why? I have no idea, maybe M210 will explain. If somebody is interested in trying this, replace original wav with this: https://files.fm/u/g8w447uu and report back if it helped.

Yes, it's better, but not perfect.

Here is a video with Monolith logo from original game for comparison:

Do you still see a shift? I can't notice it with stereo wav. Only difference I see is that at the end there is small bit of video missing (BloodGDX does it with original mono wav too).

That "laser beam" sound at 0:13 starts at about 0:11 with your WAV file.

You might be right. But this is a difference like in other videos, hardly noticeable for me. Previously I had no laser beam sound at all.

Yes, the original file plays much worse.

OK. This is a very specific bug. Sometimes PSP creates PNGs that will crash BloodGDX. I solved it this time by resaving it in GIMP this time. I've uploaded one of the crashing PNGs here, in case it may help finding the cause

In the original game, the sound is played from the AVI files, where it is better and it in stereo.
We can take a stereo sound from the AVI files, if M210 adds stereo WAV support to its BloodGDX port.

I'm unfortunately still experiencing a lot of flickering/z-fighting textures on v0.776 w/ nvidia card.

It's bad on floors and ceilings. I don't think I've noticed any on walls though.

Yeah you're right, I don't think I've seen any flickering textures on walls either...

I have noticed that there's flickering/z-fighting on certain pools of water now though, which wasn't present in previous versions :/
