Hi,
eDuke32 APT repository is currently down. I presume it is because of site change in 2016 at duke4.net. Therefore, instructions at http://wiki.eduke32..../APT_repository are obsolete. Will the repo revived? Thanks.
Regards.

We're currently in need of a package maintainer. Last guy quit with no notice, so I took the repo down as the packages were obsolete.

Is it possible that you upload the lastest 32 bit and 64 bit deb files? Cause I have compiled the source for Linux Mint; could not make it work... Thanks. :-)

No, but I can probably help you with your problem compiling it. What's your issue?

Well...
I got the source code via subversion repo. After installing the required distro packages I compiled the game with simple "make" command in the dir of the source; it succesfully compiled source, gave me eduke32 and mapster32 executables. I moved DUKE3D.GRP and DUKE.RTS files that I extracted from Steam to the dir of eduke32 executable. When I launch eduke32, it recognizes DUKE3D.GRP but fails to launch the game itself and crashes. Here is the message.
$ ./eduke32 EDuke32 2.0.0devel r(?) (64-bit) C++ build Compiled May 25 2016 01:22:25 Using /home/rifat/duke/eduke32/eduke32/ for game data Using /home/rifat/.eduke32/ for game data Initializing SDL 2.0.2 Using "x11" video driver Searching for game data... Using "DUKE3D.GRP" as main game data file. ERROR: NULL weapon! WTF?! Wrote eduke32.cfg Wrote settings.cfg ./eduke32[0x42353d] /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6(+0x36d40)[0x7faa6e75ad40] ./eduke32[0x4d7236] ./eduke32[0x4d7814] ./eduke32[0x4d79eb] ./eduke32[0x4c6dc2] ./eduke32[0x4cb70e] ./eduke32[0x4a5262] ./eduke32[0x4a70e8] ./eduke32[0x4a7318] ./eduke32[0x53438d] ./eduke32[0x40a459] /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6(__libc_start_main+0xf5)[0x7faa6e745ec5] ./eduke32[0x40b7cf] Segmentation fault
I tried to move DUKE3D.GRP and DUKE.RTS files to ~/.eduke32 dir that eduke32 created; no change at all. So, what would be the problem?

- Uncheck the Polymer button on startup.
- Build a debug version:> make veryclean && make RELEASE=0 (Since your build exited 'gracefully' already, this probably won't help much.)
- Try:> make SDL_TARGET=1 This has helped elsewhere on Linux.
- Use a more reliable source revision:> svn revert -R . && svn update -r 5267 && make

Hey again,
My problem is solved after more than half a year. The problem was actually the localization; just like some other examples, compiled version of EDuke32 fails to launch the game with unsupported localizations (ie Turkish) on GNU/Linux. Interestingly enough, .deb version of EDuke32 does not have such issue. The workaround is to launch the game with LC_ALL=C pre-argument.
Not just Duke Nukem 3D, now I could launch even launch BloodCM mod on Linux!
Regards.
