From what you've done so far, I think using gray for the rocket launcher and chaingun looks better than the cyan, and the DOOM-based chaingun that the Jaguar port used I feel looks better than modified FreeDoom chaingun artwork.

I was never a fan of the structure of the Doom Corner thread TBH. IMO Doom 4-related news should be kept separate from everything else Doom-related.

I'm not 100% happy with the chaingun yet but for now it'll do.
I decided to keep the metallic cyan from the classic heavy weapons to keep it faithful to the original artwork (and thus, the name of the addon). I chose the cyan rocket launcher because all bosses that use a RL in WOLF3D have a cyan one.
About the Jaguar, everything but the SMG is fine, but the SMG is so ugly I don't know how someone looked at that and thought it would be a fine artwork to keep when it looks more like a grenade launcher or something.

Isn't there a separate thread for Doom 4 somewhere? If not, it can always be created.
There's also a separated thread for The New Order so no problem there.

I have a lot more than what's above, but that would be an entire thread of its own.
Preview of a mapset I've been working on:
Also checkout my add-on at ModDb!!!

I think I saw your Mussolini texture on the zdoom forum somewhere. Are you planning on making a Intalian campaing? (that's a nice idea, mixing things up a little)
Also, do you think it would be hard to port your episode to ECWolf? (Don't mind me, I'm encoraging everyone to use this excellent port).
EDIT: Neat, just found out there's a easy way of running non-ecwolf mods with ecwolf (I used wolfdoom as a test and it worked) as long as it doesn't change the source code...
All it takes is putting the mod files on a different folder and using the "-file" parameter for all relevant files on the mod folder.

ECWolf is great too, but I am not too familiar with it. My addon will not be able to just be placed in like you said, as it does have code changes (very minimal stuff), such as the aardwolf sign being replaced with the SOD ammo box, no episode selection, only 10 levels, and if you press T-A-B, a different message is shown.

Both can be found here: http://www.areyep.co...arres-Main.html
The blue link (Original Maps) is the original game on SDL (native on windows, no dosbox needed)
The orange link (or yellow, or color #CC9900, IDK) is the same game but with new maps, like a new episode but same storyline (similar to what Ultimate Challenge is to Return to Danger, but Spear Ressurrection actually has level desing instead of a bunch of thrown togheter mazes)
The site is the same as above but a SDL version can only be obtained on WOLF3D Dome AFAIK, so here's the link: http://www.veracotti...OD4SDL_BETA.zip

Yeah, I expected it. Vanilla wolf3d is too limited so most mods change something (or a lot) on the source.

Apparently, support for Mac data is planned for ECWolf, but not implemented yet.
[Edit] I was probably talking about this.

Alternatively, there's a (100%?) recreation of the mac version made in wolf4sdl somewhere, but it doesn't support widescreen resolution (I have no idea why since wolf4sdl does) and, of course, doesn't have the cool things ECWolf provides.

There is a modified version of the PC game called Mac-enstein 3D which recreates the Mac version near perfectly. There's an SDL version of it now so you can play it at high resolutions with the original Wolfenstein 3D maps (Third Encounter) in addition to the First and Second Encounters with the new music and everything.
http://www.wolfenste...uk/adds_MNO.htm Can pick it up here.
Also, there is an excellent HD addon if you're using ECWolf that basically brings it up to the graphical level of the Jaguar port, including textures that were given fan HD treatment that the non-PC ports left out (including the bosses like Giftmacher, Gretel Grosse, Fettgesicht, and Barnicle Wilhelm.)
This you can pick up here: http://forum.drdteam...hp?f=174&t=6607 along with a few music replacement options.

The Wolfenstein modding community appears pretty large, but I got the impression that it is generally quite opaque. For example, the Wolfenstein 3D Dome offers lots of mods, TCs and addons for download, but there are no screenshots (and descriptions are often very sketchy), so there's no way to tell what's what unless you check all this stuff out on your own. Of course there are review sites/blogs similar to what exists for Doom WADs, but they also may require quite some digging too. Anyway, there are some pretty cool mods/TCs out there, like Trech Warfare which seems to push the engine's limits well beyond the original game.

Apparently, he's wearing the same uniform as the guards (presumably got it off the guard he had overpowered prior to the start of the game). I'm guessing that this might have been a leftover from the development phase that still included stealth elements. This was most probably changed because the uniform serves no purpose in the final game as the guards see through this "disguise", and also to make the in-game appearance consistent with BJ's portrayal on the title screen, the story screens and the victory screen.

I have to comment on this every time I see it... Wolfenstein was excellent use of tech of the time. (VGA with decent frame rates on 486 class machines, sound card support etc)
To this day, as far as First Person Shooters, Return to Castle Wolfenstein was a near perfect balance of tech, linearity/exploration, action, and even story. Where you were and why you were there made sense. Love that game... still play it on PS2 today.

Also, can anyone beat the second boss without taking much damage? I know the "correct" way to beat it, but I still had to resort to exploiting its AI which made it stay in one place while I snipe it behind thin railings.
