The pic is looking good, but which screen do you want it to replace? The HRP title or the DN3D title? If it's the first option, consider a different background than Duke - staring at almost the same screen twice is not cool. I'd also make the DN logo smaller and HRP logo bigger.


The Dn3d screen, I also made one for the HRP screen aswell.

Option 5) is the way to go. There is no way to make the HRP do that, but I could code it for Duke Plus. Would it be pretty easy to make a fire animation like that using that program you linked? I mean, is it something I could do without learning tons of stuff?

I could do it myself (the frames, not coding), but not very soon. I have to deal with some uni exams in the next few weeks. The program I linked can't produce seamlessly looping animations by default, but there are some tutorials on how to do it for a 120 frame animation. I guess it could be done for 20 frames as well. Constant dimensions for every frame would ease the job a lot. We might also consider adding some smoke to the fire.

If you want to do it yourself, you can try. I learned the stuff by trial and error, i.e. placing sources of particles, editing properties, exporting... Download it and play with it for a while. Could be a good source for additional DukePlus effects like the smoke mentioned above.

If I had a 120 frame version, then I could use every 6th frame and it should look good (or every 5th frame and make it a 24 frame animation, etc).

It would be nice if you show to us comparative screenshots with at least couple of words, why you decided to made new skin (for your mod, yours closer to original, yours version just better etc.)
And of please inform us is it completely new or based on current one from hrp.

It isn't for anything. I was just watching some DNF videos and browsing the art when i thought it might be cool to have that sort of look.
And i am not sure what i am supposed to be comparing it to.

i think that your duke nukem text and symbol are very close to the original in terms of color and contrast. well done !

DISRUPTOR:

I think what Piterplus was getting at was -- did you create the skin from scratch or did you modify the original? And could you show pics of the model itself side by side with the original and new skin to show why yours might be better. Asking what it was for I'm guessing was just a curiosity thing.

I like the old one you did to be quite honest. Could i get that one?
I take it you have the Duke Nukem 3D and the Atomic logos seperate from the background yes?
Because the logos crash into the background.
If you don't mind that is. I made your other one into a wallpaper for my PSP :lol:

And about the Enforcer texture i will show it in game in a little while and i don't think it is any better but some people might like it. Besides as i said it isn't finished.

I have done an alternate Pig cop Texture. It is good however in game the results differ a little that what i expected.

Okay, since it's the #1 thing to do right now I'll also work on a title screen, mostly because I was already working on one for myself. ;)

Here's the way it looks right now, very WIP though. Also, some stupid lines ruin it...

Here is the standard sized HRP screen and DN3D screen for you guys. They are abit different, and include a better quality duke. A HD widescreen version is ready, but i want to test it out on my HD tv before I upload that one.

Guys could you post menu related stuff here if it isn't too much trouble?

I think it's a good idea, since this thread is for new and updated stuff for the HRP, while our things seems to be more alternative stuff rather than updated or new images.

Mine was intended to be an update, not an alternative, its based on the gog banner. thats why I posted it in here.
