John Heard - Home Alone Dad dead at 71
They don't know the cause but no foul play is suspected. He did recently have back surgery, though.

My best friend died this week, Duke the German Shepard. Had to be put out of his suffering at only just gone 8 years old. We spent €5000 in multiple treatments fighting a blood infection that they couldn't even figure out its origin that had him unable to use his left back leg and as a 50kg dog this is a nightmare. Duke fought back after being given a cocktail of drugs that left nothing out and began to recover, began being able to walk again a bit better day by day then the following week could no longer get up by himself. This whole process went on for a month the pain was getting worse and he had fought long and hard enough with no end in sight. Fucking gutted.

What a beatiful beast. That moment when after initial recovery he couldn't stand had to be incredibly sad. At least he's not suffering anymore
#364 Posted 22 July 2017 - 06:16 PM
That didn't sound fun, Ronin. My sympathies.

The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long, in Dukes case this was true.

I know where you're at. 13 years ago now since mine had to be put down because of a tumor, Cass was an old dog by then, but it still sucked having to make that decision. It was better than letting her suffer, I doubt I would have been able to live with myself if I left her to lay there helplessly whimpering.
I still miss her, great dog, used to follow me everywhere, would only obey me. We used to hunt cats and rabbits, and terrorize the local pond. I'll try and find a photo, can't find one right now.

Jean-Jacques Perrey
20th January 1929 - 4 November 2016
I'm late on finding out about this one. Perrey is something of a forgotten pioneer in electronic music, making heavy use of the 1940s Ondioline early on and migrating to Moogs and such in later works.

Totally shocked.
Thomas Earl Petty (October 20, 1950 - October 2, 2017) He was an American musician, singer, songwriter, multi instrumentalist and record producer. He was best known as the lead singer of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, but was also known as a member and co-founder of the late 1980s supergroup the Traveling Wilburys (under the pseudonyms of Charlie T. Wilbury Jr. and Muddy Wilbury), and his early band Mudcrutch.
He was taken off of life support and passed away minutes ago.
On the radio they confirmed that he passed away.

This is from Reuters, as of this moment he may still be alive?
The LAPD later said on Twitter that it has “no information about the passing of singer Tom Petty. Initial information was inadvertently provided to some media sources.”

Another life and death war.
Reminds me of when Ronnie James Dio passed away.
Some said he was alive, some said he has passed away.
Sadly he passed away.
on Tom Petty
Death date was removed from wiki.
So maybe there's a chance Tom Petty may pull through.
