Apogee LLC is run by Terry Nagy, who apparently from what I gather is a business friend of Miller's from the old GOD games days. He has been involved with numerous titles that have to do with 3DR. See what he is credited for here:

I'm pretty sure there is no direct link between 3DR and Apogee or that is what 3DR would have you believe anyways. Basically Nagy bought the rights to use the Apogee name and logo from 3DR along with licensing some titles as well. Apogee appears to be a publisher that picks out developers to develop the games they have licensed from 3DR. Having said all of this, I could see them helping finish DNF in some capacity or another especially if they have the funds to do so.

RADAR is a company that acts as a consultant for fledgling game companies with original IP's, and provides both funding and their expertise to produce games based on the IP. They don't develop anything whatsoever but play more of a role akin to what 3DR played with Max Payne and Prey. They invest in an IP in exchange for owning part of the IP, and obviously getting royalties. They have nothing whatsoever to do with 3DR except that Scott Miller is a part of both, or so we are told.

Edit:

After looking at the link I posted, I noticed Nagy was involved with Apogee LTD in 1987, so I'm sure he is friends with Scott and George to some extent.

I'm really starting to dislike this enigmahood, he doesn't even think out his arguments he just forms his opinions off of his own hatreds. How could George be greedy for not taking $30mil? 3D Realms selling the Duke IP would be like Rockstar selling grand theft auto, or Nintendo selling mario. I agree maybe Scott should have stayed with DNF and saw it through but in the end he is an owner of the company he doesn't even have to be there for development at all, its not like he is the lead programmer.

Most people don't really know what went down at 3DR and I don't think the speculation helps... People talk about figures like 30 million etc. Where the hell did people get this info? Even if it was accurate, I am sorry but would have to agree with not selling the IP to TT, they are problematic as it is as a publisher, can you imagine all future Duke games being published through them? Conveniently refusing to help fund the projects but quick to jump in on the revenue... no thanks.

Also, I'm not even sure the 5 million request is accurate either... the game is basically complete, yet 5 million is enough to fund the project for 2 more years. Why would 3DR need this much? At this point 3DR just wanted to finish it and release it. Everything has already been purchased, the only things that need to be covered at this point is electricity, rent, and paying the employees. Maybe it is accurate, but it seems like a large number considering where the project is at.

So I think the YouTube n00b should stfu until George Broussard makes an official statement, and even then, I don't think the full extent of this will ever truly go public. On top of that, it is easy to blame George, but I still believe that George Broussard is doing everything in his power right now to get things sorted out and have development continue - whatever that means at this point.

Edit: By 'get things sorted out' I don't necessarily mean get funding for the game, it could mean bypassing a legal contract (more speculation... I know... sorry guys). I just don't think he would completely pull the plug at this point, not with where the game is. Think about it, if you funded a project for 12 years out of your pocket and it has less than 10% to go, would you suddenly just abort the project? No...

If DNT does well, Apogee might use the funds for DNF as early after summer. Makes good sense since it will inevitably help the sales of future DNT titles. Also, if people think there's gonna be no DNF, people will obviously still need their fix of Duke and where do they go? To the shop to buy DNT. More money in Apogee's pocket. Clever.
