So far they haven't put a single penny into the project. So I don't want to hear about T2's patience with the project.

Of course, that also applies to all of us, you know. ;)

A. No, uh not really. I'm sure George will release the game when and if it gets done.

Ring any bells?

No. Care to elaborate?

We already know what it is, from Scott's Linkedin profile:

"As part of this, 3DR runs the largest, most influential underground developer-only discussion group in the industry, since 2001."

Yeah, and I also said that it is setup by george. You got the point here. ;)

For anyone who says that Take2 never gave them money.. that's incorrect.

1. Take 2 gave an undisclosed amount of money to purchase the publishing rights.

2. Take 2 offered them incentives at various times through the production of the game. We know of at least one .5 million note offered.

What T2 said was "we did not provide ongoing funding."

That's FAR different than saying "We didn't give them a dime."

Ongoing funding is a continual stream of payments.

It does not preclude them having supplied money.

My opinion is that T2 didn't think the "$30 mil to buy back publishing rights " out of their butt. My opinion is that they were looking to break even. All in all, though, since T2 is publicly traded, we'll be able to see the values of this in their financials next year as they close the books on their dealings with 3DR.

1. The money went to Infogrames, the previous publisher
2. They offered and it wasn't collected.

Take 2 did not purchase the publishing rights. Take 2 purchased GOD games which already had the publishing rights. They have offered a bonus to get the game done, but so what? Unless they put in money funding the development they really can't say shit, which they haven't.

We don't know at ALL what Take2 gave or did not give 3DR. That's my point. We have NO IDEA. You can believe George, or you can believe Take2.

All I'm saying is that when a company in this industry says "Did not provide ongoing funding", they mean that they did not provide a regular cash infusion.

And it'll all be public soon enough anyway.

You're welcome to believe GB if you wish.

I'm telling you, he's been known to have been wrong regarding this before, and it'll all be out in T2's financials at the end of the year.

For the time being, we have removed a news item which included more DNF leaked content, because, as a 3DR ex-employee said to me, they "were not obtained with the [employees'] or the companies' permission and are slanderous to [employees] and the company."

Wait why would they care about some screenshots or video on this website, when they are all over shacknews? Since when did you need permission to post a screenshot? This is 'news' it should be protected by freedom of press and they couldn't do jack about it. I fail to see how an image taken off a computer could be slanderous to someones character.

AFAIR, it was reported on news sites as such, but in the report, on which all news were based, there wasn't a word about 3dr. It was some deal between Atari(previous publisher's rights owner) and Take Two about half a million.

Maybe I'm wrong. I'll trust Kristian on this one.

Besides, those people themselves released screens/videos. It's not like someone actually stole something. Everything was in the public access. Asking for that "favor" wasn't really nice, I think.

I agree with this, they should'nt of been poorly handled in the first place if this was the end result and i dont see shacknews taking them down anytime soon, nor IGN. They will probably just laugh and tell them to take a hike.

People seriously need to stop dwelling on this "30 cars parked outside" rumor.

For all we know, the new occupants of the building have already moved in.......

27 cars today. On both days, George's was among them. A couple of guys--didn't recognize them, but they had long hair and looked like developers ;)--were talking outside the front door.

Oh, and in the corner was a little bus that looked like a bus for a retirement village. Could Old Duke have been putting in an appearance?

Hahaha I'd laugh so hard if somebody actually did all this, I'd give alot of props to that person. Somebody better do this soon before the 3D-Realms headquarters turns into Uncle Lester's Beet'n Meat Factory.
