What? Rockstar jumped on "Launcher" bandwagon too? I wonder if Steam keys can be redeemed there, though I bet it's not worth it anyway, due to their music removal bullshit. With Steam it's still possible to prevent those things, you can re-download previous version and lock the game from updating.

They had their own DRM on their games both digital and discs for a while now, it was only a matter of time until they created a launcher.

I still have my CD copy of San Andreas but unfortunately it was the shitty patched version, you have to downgrade it if you want to use mods.

Idk where to post this as it has 90% discount (until 25 November on Steam) and it is NOT free: Hard Reset Redux
Buying it will also automatically add the DLC and the Extended Edition in your library (the DLC is free, but the Extended edition is NOT free if you buy it separately!)
Disclaimer: Idk if is a bug, but at the moment looks like this at least in my library.
Edit: Yeah maybe is a bug, in the library is no more there, on the store it result as i own the Extended Edition too lol, will post later for more infos.

At last I could not understand if the Extended Edition has been added or it is something else, there are two different titles of it in my library, so i suppose yes? (not installed, just added like many other games that are just sitting there ).
