Duke won't move in multiplayer mode

Hi all,
I'm new in this forum. I loved Duke3d multiplayer back in the days, when we used to play dukematch at school.
Now I am trying to do the same but duke won't move forward/backward or jump if I launch the Eduke32 in server mode, however it will move fine if I won't use the "-server" flag.
It was fine up to build 4223, then it stop working.
I am using Win7 64 bit

Please let me know if more info are needed,

In fact you die instantly [in maps with multiplayer start points, cycling once though all of them] and the remaining blood pool might block your way even when you revive yourself by DNKROZ.
The "-server" parameter introduces other issues as well, but I doubt anyone will fix anything until the developers consider the new network code being close to usable.
In the meantime you can grab the latest EDuke32 version using the old network code from here.

[EDIT:] According to Paul B. introduced between r4224 and r4230.
