Using this video in Eduke32 as intro animation
http://intrinia.de/stuff/duke/logo.zip
How to install:
* download logo.zip and put it into your autoload folder of eduke
* start the game like this: eduke32 -mx logo.con -mh logo.def (or create a .bat file in your eduke folder with this in it...)
OR:
* add this to a .con file that is beeing loaded at startup: include logo.con
* add this to a .def file that is beeing loaded at startup: include logo.def

The setup is pretty badass. Love the Duke quote and the use of Daidoh for text.
This is the first time I've heard the phrase "Powered by Polymer". I'll put out there that the vid should probably say "Powered by EDuke32", but Polymer can still be mentioned. Something like "Featuring the Polymer Rendering System". I'll ask Plagman if he has any idea for a "Polymer logo".
Could you share your source materials with me? It has much potential.

Also, how about a mascot. We could have the eduke32 Sandwich.

Not sure if I'll have time to do a new E32 logo, but I could surely animate it (Heck, I did work on motion graphics for a while)
Cheers

_grey is the version as previewed, white and black are on a transparent BG.
Oh, and those are in RGB colors space, I thought you're more likely to use them digitally than in print

Thought it could be a nice tie-in at first, but I'm having second thoughts myself. Especially, since that font isn't designed that well.

We actually use that font currently in the startup window and on the site, as we have for like half a decade before Megaton was released. We just lowercase and italicize it.
By the way, I REALLY like that gear logo...

This looks like a logo of some Hospital. Not good for this game, IMHO.

Give it a metal texture, put in some glow behind the logo, make it dirty and then, I think you will like it.

All of those things would be counterproductive to modern logo design.
Our current logo suffers from shading gradients everywhere and excessive lines that clutter it. Not to mention that it was done in PSD paths that have eluded my attempts at a proper SVG export.

It's the text on the top. The font is Daidoh Round Remix. I couldn't figure out the border in vector though. The "stroke" functionality is not what I was looking for.

You may be right for logo design, but in a video it might look awesome!
Otherwise, I don't like the "less is more" style of logos today very much.
Best example: Microstoft Windows 8...
I liked the Windows 7 Logo much more, but that's just allways a question of taste...
