In other news, Sex City got passed the 3k downloads on the counter on Steam. I'm still very amazed at this.
Now, in the sad news, in the meantime the episode on modb grew of less than 200 downloads. Which means that less than 1% of the people who played the map on Steam bothered to download the full episode and eduke32 and play it even though I advertised it in the description of the map with a link which has a very simple tutorial on how to play it.
I think this tells a LOT of the mindset of the new playerbase we got from Megaton : they just will NOT play outside of Megaton, or only very few of them.
It's very saddening to say that, and as much as I prefer eduke32 over Megaton (I don't see anybody who uses both linking the other more, except for online play) : if you want to get your singleplayer maps played, play them with Megaton compatibility in mind,
not eduke32 only compatibility. TCs, Mods and episodes are a different story, they're all generally more played and downloaded than single SP maps anyway (Steam included) as proves any download counter you can find on any TC/mod/episode.
And no, my "downloads counter autism" still hasn't faded away since I asked DN-R to put one on their site 5 or 6 years ago.

Keep posting more maps to workshop please. My favorites seem to come from members who are also members here.
That's because this place is pretty much 90% of what's left of Duke3D activity.
