Let's make up a bunch of generic screenshots with UDK and we'll get a license :P

I was just thinking about that. I think I actually made a thread on the Gearbox forums then Fresch posted his first UDK screens there only to soon a few days later to make his own thread. I think he discussed it then posted the screenshots soon afterward.

So, if I didn't make that one thread I forgot the name of then this might have not happened and he wouldn't go to make the Rise of the Triad remake?

Perhaps my memory is a bit fuzzy.

Too bad we don't have a "my posts turn threads into shit" description.

Gotta love irony...

Thanks for giving me 4 posts to upvote. Jimmy's completely right. I for one am not enjoying the random downvotes necroSLUT gives either. It's not that I can't accept them, but it's the fact that I receive them and I have no clue who the guy even is and what he stands for because he doesn't post.

And why do you have those links anyway? Do you save every post that pushes your buttons and meditate on them?

What if these were upvotes would you not be enjoying them also?

I'll post a pretty picture of myself to anyone who downvotes you more. Jimmy and Viper, go!

I hope by pretty you mean dressed like a girl.

My beef with necroslut is not that he's "destroying my honour" or something by downvoting me, it's that he's a shit-tier poster who contributes nothing ever. He just strolls around all day maxing out his daily downvote quota. And he does it to everyone. He'll downvote shit four or five years old just because he can. I've seen him downvote posts and it baffles me. "Went to the store today and bought my cat some food." OH I'M NECROSLUT I BETTER DOWNVOTE THIS!!!!

Anybody else find it rather suspicious that Kathy used to be Cathy? I guess he felt that the former sounded more feminine.

Either way, you'd still pee in his butt.

I say we start a Wolfenstein 3D mod called "Duke Nukem : Deloaded" It would attempt to recreate Duke3D in it's entirety with the best capabilities the Wolf3D engine can pull off... Including distance fog, floor and ceiling textures, and WEAPON BOBBING. Oh yes.

I was actually thinking about something like this. I had been working on an own little Wolflike-Eingine(with floor and ceiling textures, lighting and fog, just as you mentioned). Setting would be on a speceship and there are stippers captured. Enemies would appear with some sort of simple AI-directior so that you have enemies constantly spawning. Each enemy drops a dollar bill you can collect. If you have reached a stripper in the prisons you have to give the dollars to her (for each dollar she follows you a few seconds). The goals is to lead all strippers to the exit.

I never did it because the stippers in DN3D don't have a walking animation and the bikini babes in Life's a Beach are too different from the strippers.

EDIT:
If anybody has some walking animations for the strippers or can me link to free ones I might continue on that.

EDIT 2:
Ha, I found the old a build I had for that. Yes, the fog's color can be changed and it supports even skyboxes.

Fox, I recommend you to try Klooni, it is more advanced, faithfull and accurate emulation of Doom gameplay in Wolf engine than this.

From Television Tropes:

"As the Internet grew, women became more common. Sadly, men pretending to be women became even more common as well; it soon became obvious that announcing you were female online (and thus a geek girl) was a surefire way to win lots of attention and accommodation from other users, even to the point of them being tricked into mailing gifts, cash, or performing other favors. This led to anyone claiming to be female to instantly be accosted with demands of "proof" (eventually codified as "Tits or GTFO").

Of course, proving you are female online is something of a conundrum, since any pictures or voice you present as proof can just as easily have come from a sister, girlfriend, or random site — which thanks to webcams was later solved by asking for a "timestamp", a picture with the current date, time, and a certain message (which could still be pictured with a woman who just happened to be near the actual poster, but it helps). Not proving it or refusing to share pictures means that you would be assumed to be male and only pretending to be female for the attention or (if in a game) free items.

This was a lot of fun for real women. Even a vague mention of a boyfriend or husband as an aside would get these righteous Internet College Males screeching in rage that you were an evil Attention Whore pretending to be female to get things. Girls naturally responded to this by pretending to be men just to avoid the verbal harassment and righteous screeching. "

Duke Nukem in Reloaded was supposed to be a babe.
1

User is offline   Komenja

And in place of the actual babes would be male npcs modeled to resemble Arnold Schwarzenegger.

I just came up with an idea. Instead of trying to get a license to remake Duke 3D, which I see unlikely, what about a license to remake Duke Nukem 1 on the Unreal Engine? :P
