That armour makes me think of the bikesuit/armour Hiro Protagonist wears in Snow Crash, so I don't mind it at all. Doubt it's intentional though, but who knows!

The one thing I find hilarious about that picture is that he has a cigarette in his mouth. Yes, political incorrectness is not allowed here but feel free to support the tobacco companies!

Yeah, same thing with Duke's cigar in DNF. Is drug abuse a part of Duke? Sure, after all he is known for chomping on a whole bottle of steroids at a time. But neither Duke3D or any of the other build games have their main protagonist chewing on a cigarette or cigar. I don't recall the original Lo Wang ever having to drop an F bomb either. They were so awesome, they didn't need the extra lewdness. These modern developers are doing it all wrong.

"I'm truly amazed at how well ROTT turned out given it's drop-in-a-bucket budget and virtual team. I'm nothing but impressed by that game and the passionate effort that went into it.

That said, this new Shadow Warrior has a real budget and a fully proven, non-virtual team. It's a game that can stand-up to the big boys in many ways (even though its budget, while substantial compared to ROTT, is still a rounding error compared to Halo, CoD, Gears, etc).

The first SW definitely made numerous comments that made fun of Asian stereotypes (stuff we weren't aware of until numerous Asian players and Asian press people educated us about after the game's release). Our intention back then was not to be in any way racists, but to just have fun like a low-budget martial arts film with hilariously horrible dubbing.

With the new game, hopefully we can still have much the same fun with Lo Wang and other characters, without offending Asians.

We got hammered pretty hard after the game's release. IMO, the game did cross the line in places, such as with the coolies.

This could easily be a young Lo Wang, much better than the earlier version (maybe they are listening to feedback), armour kind of looks a bit Deus Ex but that's not a bad thing in my books.
After watching the "WTF is Shadow Warrior" video, I am pumped for this game and can't wait to get my digital hands on that sword, looks so damn fun.
There seems to be loads of secrets that are meant to be hard to find which is good and will encourage you to scour the levels where you can, it's a shame you can buy ammo as searching for it would have been more fun.
I am very glad a game like this is finally being made.

I don't know, from the videos I've seen everything seems slow. Even the praised melee combat while having interesting dismemberment looks boring because of that. The flow and movement is off somehow. I definitely need a demo before buying it.
