They're working on it. They did just push out Linux versions of the game and Shadow Warrior.

The code already supported Linux before they got their hands on it, so that's not any kind of excuse at all. :P

They still broke their commitment. Stop kissing their butts already Lunick.

Lunick, are you their PR manager?

To be fair, Devolver/Apogee are also to blame here.

Yeah yeah, they couldn't get the multiplayer finished because they made GA go do Shadow Warrior Classic Redux. Blame Devolver for giving an estimate :P

No, I've already seen what a mess other PR people can be and it's not something I'd like to be :P

I think Duke 3D multiplayer is quite complicate, and I would guess they underestimated how much work would be necessary.

Lunick is just a very enthusiastic fellow about just about everything.

Yeah, I mean I don't imagine GA makes a lot of money on these projects and it's a very tiny team. (Two programmers and one artist.)

They have not created the palettes for the minifont? Oh well, they probably will change this screen.

With Rancidmeat based source ports like XDuke and HDuke owning the scene in that department, I'd differ to say they are more like 8 years late in stealing any thunder.

After playing XDuke online for months, it took me awhile to get used to EDuke32 again too. Maybe one just has to get used to it.

I still like to think that EDuke Multiplayer would be the cats meow and the more popular Duke port of choice. Having Eduke multi player would essentially eliminate the competition. I mean seriously, just imagine Multi-player Co-op/Death match using Eduke with Polymer TROR and the HRP how cool would that be? FRIKKEN AWESOME!

The synthesis release updates have been really quiet these last two weeks. This can only mean one of two things. Everyone's on Holidays??? Or..... Something really big is being worked on at the moment. =)

Do you mean 3D Realms(Apogee Software Ltd) or Apogee Entertainment LLC(Doing Business As Apogee Software LLC)? I don't believe the latter is involved with Megaton Edition at all.

I don't remember whom I meant, but it doesn't really matter.

Duke Nukem 3D Megaton is on sale on Steam bundled in with Shadow Warrior Redux Edition too for a small price:

http://store.steampo....com/sub/18620/

I just bought it so I can have plenty more copies of Duke Nukem 3D.

That's a good deal! Though they did miss the opportunity to re-use the "East Meets West" moniker. :P

We had this idea, but as I understand there were some legal difficulties of using "East Meets West" as a bundle name.

There is an older build of Eduke that does mp really well. There is no HRP support though.

Here's a supposed picture of Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition running on the PS Vita:

Here's the official tweet:

This sounds interesting, it also means I might actually pick up a PS Vita.

Picking up Vita just for Duke3d is pushing it.

I've heard that it might be a thing in the future, but I don't think that picture is a picture of that. :P It seems more like a picture of the Duke3D title screen on a Vita, to gauge reactions. I could be wrong.

Upon further review, the picture was tweeted "at" the developers responsible for the PS Vita version of Hotline Miami, so it's probably legit, though it might be at early stages (who knows). All of these new ports of Duke3D remind me of the 90's again. That's not a bad thing. :P
