"Coming Soon", seems to be the 3DR euphemism for "When Its Done". They got a bit of attention for Duke with the XBLA release of Duke 3D, now is the perfect time to build on that, any longer and no one will care.

Not releasing trailer this year would be really, dare I say, stupid. Awareness about Duke is there with teaser, screens and XBLA.

Of course it's WID, but the whole shit with teaser, screens and Jace Hall... Oh, it's nothing, just buncha guys at Christmass, oh it's just little tidbit for the fans that gather all achievments, oh it's just shaky cam footage for a friend. Nothing to see here.

You know what sucks? Getting the flu shot and then still getting the flu a few weeks later. It absolutely devastated my house over the weekend, my kids, wife...me. I'm sore and miserable from all the vomiting and dry heaving. And I know the flu shot is only good if you get the "same" type of strain that was in the shot. Well, it never seems to be the "same" strain and we always get the flu. Bah. This is the rant thread, right?

Anyways, I'm feeling a little better now. No trailer or media the few days I've been away.

Thinking back, I know I couldn't take my ball and go home regarding DNF. I'll always believe it will ship one day and I'll actually get to play it. So no, I wouldn't give up on it.

I think I'll end up being like that dog in the Futurama episode who dies of old age waiting for his owner to return to him(that never does).

Well I'm gonna go rest, eat dry toast and drink a little water and go easy on my stomach nursing myself back from the @##@!~ flu.

Couldn't agree more! It's almost as if they don't really care if anything, even the game itself, is ever released at all - as if they're content to just endlessly work on it.

First duke4net post (hi guys!), even if I've been following for years the DNF story.

From all that happened before (not much I must admit), I guess they'll release another smoke screen (new trailer or whatever) to make fans wait again this WID. I sincerely hope there's no re-engineering going on. The problem I see (but it's only an opinion), is that after all these years, the level of expectations is so high there's simply no way a game, even DNF, can fulfill. I'd love to be wrong, though.

Oh come on Kaiser dude, you know better than to take Flu Shots administered by the Government, there's always a Natural Cure. I haven't been to the doctor in ages and never take prescription drugs either, you need plenty of Vitamin C, Echinacea, Honey, Lemons, eat healthy and drink plenty of water as usual etc. Also take Reserveratrol and IP6 Rice Bran they will bulletproof your immune system from cancer, colon problems and more. The only time you need Drugs and Surgery is if you are God Forbid badly injured and about to die, for most things there are Natural Cures and Methods. Believe it or not.

While I agree with you completely, I don't really think that post qualifies. "god forbid" is just a figure of speech in this case, and I don't think his purpose was to shove religion down anybody's throat . . . . . this time.

That's my biggest fear as well. And I think it's the other way around now - the PC version would be "supposedly coming too". I think that's what happened in late '05 - development was shifted to make the 360 the primary platform.
