IMO though if we do not see a trailer before the end of this year 3D Realms FUCKED UP big time..... AGAIN. There are no other words I can say if that is the case.

DNF is coming along well for sure, they just seem to want us to wait some more for next year which is when DNF will definitely release. Well remember before they released the Trailer for Prey in April a few months before it's release in July or August. So if not a Big Trailer this year then next year definitely, we will get a good dose of media this month, much bigger than Jace Hall and Teaser of last last year for sure.

I really hope that 1up preview is not another favor for another friend in the industry. If that's what dnf is going to be throughout it's entire so called existence, then I won't buy another 3dr related game ever again.

Actually, I was sincerely hoping 2007 to be last Vaporware Award year for DNF... I had great expectations when the trailer was released last year. But how things are going now (eg, trash picture) is really killing me slowly.

Well let's see what they show us, hopefully it will turn nearly every negativity about 3DR around... Especially like the common factor as the killer waiting game they are putting us through ugh...

Trust me, my patience is strained when it comes to DNF. Although I realize at the end of the day they don't really owe us the game or anything else. The fans are totally at their mercy and all we can do is bitch and complain about it here.

I have faith that George will deliver a killer game to us and I'm highly confident he's very picky(in a good way) with how a game should play, look, be fun, etc.

My gut feeling is that we will still see something "big" this year. No "insider tips" or anything like that. I just think the time is right and I honestly don't see the game being more than 3-4 months away of being completed at this point.

Let's hope for the best but expect the worse(hopefully not).

Yeah, people shouldn't get their hopes build up once again... the dissappointment might be HUGE if one does that. I haven't waited for DNF in a "active sense" of the word, since that only makes the wait longer.

Absolutely I agree well said dude, I know this game will Rock harder than Duke 3D and more in the end. And that George has been secret with the game for good purposeful reasons, however I'm glad they are confident to show the game now even more since it is coming along really well so far up until now it seems. I feel this game will be released by Summer 2009 for sure with a Trailer in Spring...

What I find disappointing is NOT the trash picture and certainly not the sound system update after. I really really really liked those. Especially the latter but certainly also the former. However the thing that is sorta annoying is that George was on a roll with those two updates in a row then nothing at all. Things do seem to be going REALLY REALLY good with the game now. But I wish they would show some more now, it is soon to be 1 year to they day since the teaser. But they HAVE shown some of the game since then though(Jace Hall Show Footage, thumbnail, two screenshots). It is not like there has been any media promised this year. So we can't demand anything. Also what I really would like in lieu of a full blown trailer(while we wait for that) is just some simple gameplay clips(Ala Jace Hall Show footage, only HD) and/or some footage of the editor/tools or heck even some recording of DNF devs working on the game.

However I really doubt that 3-4 months thing Kaiser. On account of no media yet(unless they really are gonna go with such a short hype period, which I doubt. But it is probably possible. A short hype period like that might be just what we and they need at this point) and of this:

I just know that I would really like to see a trailer on or before inauguration day(But for the record I have NO opinion EITHER way as to the likelyness of that). It would kinda suck for DNF being on its 3rd president before showing a full blown trailer for what will be the final version.

I would DEFINETELY not want gameplay clips. For a freeform game like stalker or Far Cry 2, sure, because their gameplay is emergent enough not to spoil too much. But with a standard FPS gameplay, such a clips would basically spoil the situations that we should witness for the first time while playing the game itself. Unless DNF has levels with multiple inter-connected spaces, encounters based on the chosen route, random events and stuff like that.

I'm still not doubting a trailer will arrive this year, no matter what Joe said or says. I don't even pay attention to what Joe says anymore, I listen to George instead. George said last December that something big like the 2001 trailer is coming, and I don't think he would've let that slip out unless he was confident that they would indeed release a trailer soon.

I am feeling all right with DNF it's definitely coming along well from my feeling, it's just the way they have been keeping the substantial DNF media we all deserve away from us. This time 3DR should change their ways, after this 1-UP Preview or whatever media they will show off this month... They better give us daily DNF Developments updates until the Trailer next year and release of the game itself finally...

Yeah that's a very interesting read but they will be debuting the Trailer via the Internet soon now like last year's Teaser, they don't go to E3 no more or possibly any other gaming expos.
