Don't all games on GOG have to work on XP, Vista and Windows 7/8?

I guess as they're expanding their catalogue, they need to loosen the restrictions too. GOG hasn't been an (only) old games site for ages. IMO I don't see anything wrong with that, as long as they always keep the rule that their games are DLC free. If they stop that, then the service basically loses what makes it unique and there wouldn't be any real reason to buy from there.

You mean DRM free right? As they have already released games with DLC.

DLC Free or DRM Free?

Because as far as I heard Fred say on a livestream long ago, DLCs would be free but if it did well enough they might do a paid addon. No idea if that idea itself has changed or not.

Ah sorry DRM free. It's a bit late here. I'm off to bed.

Why does it require Vista/7 despite being DX9-only?

GOG is not old games only anymore. They've admitted as such in a press release. They are now known as GOG rather than the actual acronym "Good Old Games". They've got quite a few new games on there along with a ton of indie games.

I'd be behind them getting more new games as well as expanding their cross platform offerings. I did choose to get Alan Wake from them rather than purchase it via Steam for example. On the other hand.. by the time Alan Wake was released on the PC and thusly GOG it's already considered old and yesterday's news by some.

Was the magazine moved to the bottom on the MP40 like a proper MP40? Or is the HUD model different from in-game?

I am sorry if modern "g a m e r s" were a bit scared and confused by the last screenshot I had posted. It wasn't authorized.

Here is the official version, which should make modern "people who play modern games" and console owners feel better about the product.

I actually saw that screenshot (minus the jokey annotations) in Steam on the ROTT page earlier.

Windows XP
Intel Pentium 4 1.8 GHz (Single Core)
512 MB Ram
NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 4000 64 MB

This thing used to have a ton of hanging and stuttering problems until I reserved 4 gigs on the hard drive as virtual ram. Keep in mind this is probably the best computer in my house. I could afford a new computer if I wanted. I guess this shows how much I care about new games.

That's actually a pretty old screen, we just never put it anywhere I guess. WOO NEW SCREEN!

Box art coming this week. And official partners announcement.

Hint: It's Steam, GoG and Green Man.

Also, it should run on XP. Let me tell Valve to fix that. The Steam page is still a work in progress and is missing the videos etc.

ALSO, this is the official steam group run by one of our forum members: http://steamcommunit...m/groups/rott13 JOINY JOIN JOIN

Why doesn't it at least have directX 10 and/or 11 as an option? Things like tesselation could help keep the game looking good many years down the track, even if many PCs today have a bit of trouble running things at max settings.

Efficiency. This computer taught me more about the concept of optimization than I ever cared to know. It really has made me a disciplined user. It's a blessed curse.

I'd probably end up talking crazy like that too if I had to wait 5 minutes every time I wanted to load a new page Posted Image

I guess they just lazy to do those DirectX v10 and v11-only things and with do all of v9 stuffs the same time(or lack some knowledge/guys know how do DX10/11 effects in UE), those "new" things may increasing the develop time of RoTT2013 and may cause more problems, I guess. ;)

On his machine, 1 gig is the 'sweet spot' where it will actually begin to be usable. For machines made in this century, the absolute minimum is two gigabytes, and you should be looking at four for general use.
