That's pretty cool, I think the guy might be just a little bit overly optimistic about what to expect but he did a good job to point out some stuff I missed.

I want to say that he was optimistic about it all. I bet the whole trailer was just a bunch of cutscenes.

Also he keeps talking about 'dynamic animation'. GTAIV had dynamic animation which was the best part about the game. Its nothing new to the series.

It was funny how you mentions how much lensflare is in the trailer.....all the lensflares were from the sun. :P

It's even more funny when you realise I never mentioned lens flares even once. :P/>

Wow, wow! That was not what I meant. haha Holy shit, what was I on? It was suppose to say 'It was funny how he mentions'. lol I'm so sorry. Notice how the mention has a (s) after it originally.

Not GTA V related but if you have GTA: Vice City on Steam you may want to read this.

Quote

You remember when Rockstar announced the Vice City 10th Anniversary Edition and then suddenly went quiet? How about the PSN release of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City being halted? Or, what's with Grand Theft Auto: Vice City being removed from Steam? Well there is a reason for that!

Sony Music Entertainment have filed a copyright claim against the game over the song "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" by Michael Jackson, which appeared on the radio station Fever 105.

Until this issue is sorted out, Rockstar Games can not sell Grand Theft Auto: Vice City digitally, now we don't know if this means they will renew the rights or simply cut out the song all together (as they did with "Running with the Night" by Lionel Ritchie), so in case that does happen, we advise all current Steam users to make a back up of their FEVER.adf if they do not want to lose this song.

As a pre-law major I'm normally up to speed on my legal shit, so I'm surprised that I don't know the answer to this - How the fuck can you file a copyright claim against content in a game that to common knowledge has already been released a decade ago?

Shouldn't Sony Music Entertainment be keeping themselves busy chasing down people who post 3-second snippets of their songs on YouTube?

The human eye is capable of seeing lensflare to. Did you know your eye is just an organic camera?

Because the contract probably didn't mention digital sales. It's the same with home releases of many tv shows.

I've never seen a lensflare with a naked eye. At least not as vivid as lensflare in the movies which GTA is trying to simulate.

Perhaps, but these movie stylisations are getting quite tiresome.

Yeah, like the out-of-frame horizontal bleed lensflare popularly seen in Star Trek. I'm okay with basic lensflares like light glows or sun flares, but the whole thing is old now. Though I do enjoy proper lensflares with dirty lens when the game is through the eyes of a machine or inside a helmet.

These are some proper bullshots.

The texture quality will never be that high on consoles.

What was the last GTA not released on PC?

Also, it might come out on next gen consoles which surely could handle that.

GTA Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories, followed by a very crappy port of GTA IV that struggled to run on good PCs just... 8 months after the console version. On the other hand, Max Payne 3 had a much better PC port (people say, I haven't played yet) released almost the same time as the concole version so maybe Rockstar learned one thing or two after that.

Okay, you got me here. But they were released for handhelds and weren't main series games.

They were also released for PS2 and PS3 (via PSN) and had good improvements over GTA III and Vice City (specially VCS), like stand alone expasion packs. I would've bought a PC version.
