Surely there's a nerd who owns a computer store near where you live? If there is, he might be able to do something to help, be it a software or physical problem. It depends what kind of damage it is.

Is it a zip archive you want to extract? Or just files? I'm glad you found the TC :(

EDIT:
This was the website where you could download Evil People TC:
http://web.archive.o...oldaddons.shtml

Just scroll down a little.

Get Isobuster (http://www.isobuster.com/) and try to get it off your CD. It really works well for me with broken CDs.

I have a copy laying around somewhere. I was helping Diaz try and clean it up and finish it but he ended up saying fuck it and moved to HL modding instead (partially because another mod ended up using his demo as the base for itself, I can't recall what it was though).

That guy taught me a few interesting tricks, namely that one sided actors with lots of animation could be just as good as multi-sided objects and also opened up some neat tricks, and also to use lots of sprites to create light and shadow rather than relying on solely on sector lighting.

Is there a link anywhere, where I can download Suburbs TC? I lost my copy and the link on that TC site is broken.
BTW is this Diaz who was working on Suburbs the same who did the awesome Fusion TC?

Here's my edited version. Very easy to install and play with EDuke 32.

Heh, I was just talking to someone about The War is the Life the other day. No, nothing was ever released as far as I know. I used to be really good friends with the guy making it but he kind of fell off the face of the earth and now I haven't heard from him in about a decade.

I remember there was a TC on Dukeworld back in the days called "The War is the Life" or something like that. Was there some stuff released?

There were also some TCs on moddb.com which seem to be deleted. Something with Terror in Woodsville or something like that and one which really looked promising, but I forgot the name right now.

I remember Terror in Woodsville. If memory serves me right nothing was ever released, but I do remember that it was an EDuke mod, and then the whole thing was restarted when EDuke32 was released.

The War Is the Life was one of my favorites as well, too bad nothing ever materialized. Still remember checking dukeworld.com/twitl every day. They had that cool sky texture from Lameduke.

it's the best I could do

the only useful file is the read me file, for searches. ANY other file needs a better stream interpreter, and, well, does not work. Posted Image

Naah, still can't be fixed. The most important files are corrupt unfortunately. I wonder if the author still got a copy.

I found it: It´s called Scream Busters 3D
http://www.moddb.com...ream-busters-3d

I´m gonna try to contact the author but it seems that he wasn´t online on moddb.com since dec 2005. Does maybe somebody know how to contact this guy or does anybody has contact to him. The TC really looks awesome.

Forget it. I send him an email on amcwebforums.com. Maybe he answers (his last activity there was in April this year).

Tried to search for that guy. Came up with nothing. His e-mail is nowhere to be found except in the Readme. Did other people work on this game?

I remember Redcrow was his name at AMC:
http://www.amcwebfor...hp?topic=1600.0

And his e-mail there was:
hanna_y_caleb@hotmail.com

But no luck either, I got a delivery failure.

Just to note Terror in Woodsville and Screambusters 3D were two distinctly different mods.

Of course they were. blizzart just wanted to note that they looked very promising and that they don´t show up on moddb.com anymore (they are archived, but you won´t find them searching for Duke mods).

I received your email yesterday and I want to answer some of your questions :(

First of all, Scream Busters 3D was originally started in 1998 or 1999, I don't rembember right now... And since then it had some major overhauls and restarts (1.5, Eduke 2.0, Eduke 2.1...) and we kept it in hold for some time until the last year. The project is currently being worked on by Malone3D and me but slowly as hell as our free time is very scarce. We've been working hard on con code (we can make decent maps... but we're very lazy at that) since now Eduke32 allows coders to do almost everything we dreamt about years ago.

We haven't said or shown anything all this time since we don't want to make the same mistakes we did years ago by teasing the community without releasing anything. We wanted to show something when it was worth to show it. We can post something of our most recent work if you wanted us to but we cannot make sure it's going to be released anytime soon. As I've said before, we are only 2 guys and we're taking our time.

In regards of the Evil People TC I may have some good news: Redcrow contacted me many years ago on AMC since he needed some help with con code and he sent me some of the art files from his mod. He decided to abandon the project due to personal issues shortly after I helped him and I asked if I could use some of his awesome weapon tiles from Evil People TC rather than letting them go to waste so he allowed me to use them. I don't have the full TC but these weapons are some of the most gorgeous I've ever seen in a Duke3D mod and some of them are currently used in Scream Busters 3D.

I've attached the original art files I still keep:
tiles006.art = zombie walking animations and plasma projectiles,
tiles009-010 = Weapons

Thank you for your interest :(

Oh wow. I thought you had fallen off the face of the Earth, and Screambusters along with you. I think people are always interested in new mods these days, if you guys have got something to show, I say go for it. Also thanks for the Evil People art. It's always great to see this type of stuff get dug up.

Edit: Tried searching through some archived Planet Duke pages to see if I could find anything for Evil People, no dice.

Some of the weapons look really cool. Love the double barreled shotgun and RPG.

Would be interested to take a look at Scream Busters as well.

If someone finds Sububs TC (this is funny, I'm looking for my own work) please let me know. I can't find it and I want to remake some of the levels for HL2...

By the way, hello everyone ;)

EDIT: Argh, I didn't see the link above, and it works. Anyways, nice to see you people around :)

Don't know if this one has yet been posted about. I can't seem to find a working link to the demo of Duke Nukem City Crackdown:
http://web.archive.o....com/crackdown/

The link on Duke MSDN points to Planet Duke which obviously no longer exists, and none of the FTP archives I have bookmarked carry the crackdown website/files in their planetduke sections.

Not that big or important of a TC, but I figure for Duke history/completionism if anyone has this TC it's one you might consider "missing" Posted Image

It was kinda annoying how the author of that thing used to have a new design for his website up every week or so but there was hardly any progress on the TC.

I agree, I think that mod could have been pretty cool. But it went the way of about everything else.
