You have to put the Eduke32 port and Duke3d.grp in the main dir AND in the Church/hires dir. Because the Church map uses a different Tiles014.art than in the main directory.

It was Mike von Skellington who released the fragments, not 2Bad, the "leader" of the project.

Just looked up the maps. The level design and the textures is just brilliant. Why this TC have been cancelled?

I just looked at the City Crackdown Fragments as well, and I agree that there's some mouthwatering geometry and textures in there. I sent the guy an email to see if I could try to combine some parts and blast it with polymer lighting. Sounds like it could be an interesting holiday project.

For those who haven't had a chance to check out the City Crackdown Fragments, I've taken some screenshots of a few impressive areas. I don't think these screenshots do the levels justice (they look better in-game), and there are other good areas I haven't captured. Even by today's standards, it's amazingly good.

IIRC the City Crackdown maps were meant for GoD TC in first place.

But whatever it is, it looks good in polymer;
I got a reply to the email I sent the author (describing recent advancements such as TROR and polymer), and he's given me permission to use it as I like, so I'll spend the next few months tying off loose ends and such. If anyone else is interested in working on this, it could be an interesting group project, but I'm willing to work on it by myself.

It's a really fun map to play IMO, even if it has a few empty rooms and needs a touch of trimwork which I might add later. The superb layout and above average architecture by Mike von Skellington, more than makes up for it.
Reminder: You will need a beefy PC, because polymer isn't optimized enough *cough*.

About GoD 2: is it possible that the creator of GoD still has some kind of early version of beta of GoD2? If this TC is dead, it would be nice to release some kind of alpha version, I would like to take a look at this.
Actually, I think that everoby, who ever worked on TC, which got cancelled or forgotten, still has some kind of hidden versions of different cancelled TCs. It would be a good idea to find those people and ask them to post those treasures here, so everybody could take a look.
I know, it's obvious, but I keep thinking about this every time I see this thread.

I'm somewhat disappointed there's only 4 downloads; it's a solid map, and I invested several hours making it playable. I guess the combined effort of having to download the full package and the possibility of low framerate were too much of a deterrent for most people. I'll just work on the rest of the maps quietly until I've finished the episode, then release it as a complete single file download.
Oh and I thought I fixed the nuke button, but apparently not, because the last time I played it, it wouldn't work. So if anyone plays the map, gets to the nuke button and can't use it, just quit - you've finished the map.
