I've been lurking around this site for the last 4 years, and I would like to make some kind of first impression here. I'm just an overall a classic FPS fan, and avid PC user who does a little of console gaming too since I became a fan of Duke Nukem from the PS1. What got me to post here is that I haven't visited this site for like a month or so, but was curious enough to pop by again to see the GOG licence keys on the front page. I really felt dumb to only have the Steam version since I am somewhat against DRM. Hopefully I try to keep my word and stay active here, but then again I have spread myself too thin lately to you may see me come and go over the days.

Sup. I'm Nems and I'm a(n) alcoholic porn addict PC gamer. I primarily play Doom and I occasionally post in the Doom communities such as the ZDoom forums and Doomworld forums. I'm trying to get back into Duke3D, especially when it comes to user/community content since I'm somewhat familiar with the original levels already. Since I'm used to Doom I'm slowly trying to get used to some of the gameplay mechanics in Duke3D that aren't in Doom (like having to shrink yourself or use the jetpack or look for cracked walls to progress).

I've done some mod playtesting too (I helped out with Doomzone for Doom) so I'm looking to maybe help out here as well if folks don't mind the fact I'm still somewhat challenged progression-wise in Duke3D levels. :v

Hi folks. I'm Kawa, I've had an unhealthy interest in outdated video game engines since basically forever, and some might recognize the combination of my name and Build from JonoF's board. I think Lo Wang is oddly endearing, and that video games these days focus too damn much on looking good and not nearly enough on being actually innovative. I also have my own conlang I'm working on so if you see me pepper a post in unreadable italics that's not some stupid attempt to speak like one of those monks from Blood.

MusicallyInspired can vouch for me.

Good to see you, Kawa. This man has done some wonderful things with Sierra's SCI adventure game interpreter at sciprogramming.com. Yeah, he's a bit of a furry but I forgive him.

Thanks bro. I'm just wondering if there's a place on these forums I can post about my Build project. Cos that's a thing I'm trying again.

No, don't worry, the SCI game is still a thing. The Build project is related to it though.

Ah, but it's not a modification of EDuke32 at all, but rather of KenBuild. Here's a sample from my test map.

Hello, hello, goodbye, and hello again.

My name is Cernex, but you can call me... well, Cernex.

I used to hang around in 3DPortal and Dukeworld WAAAAAAAAAAY back when (to put it in perspective, Starship Troopers wasn't even a demo). I stopped coming around because my PC malfucntion and the replacement I got was actually worse and didn't run Duke. I just kindda forgot about it until recently, when I found out that running Duke was no longer an issue.

So yeah. I'm "back", I guess. Not that I did anything relevant back then. Just downloaded a lot of TCs. DiB in particular. Tried it again last week. Just as buggy as I remember.

Hey gang,

This looks like a great place to hang out with fellow Duke Nukem and 90s/early 00s FPS fans, the community for such games has always astounded me with it's longevity and support.

Glad to be here, took me long enough as I've lurked around but never thought of registering until now.

I'm 28 and grew up on build engine and idtech games as I'm sure a great deal of folks around here have. Besides Duke one of my absolute favorites is SiN (as you could prob tell by my avatar of Col. John R. Blade :P )

See you around!

Hello everyone

I'm glad I could join the community. I've been playing games ever since I was a kid, and am trying to currently make one myself.
My favorite genre of games is FPS, Strategy and RPGs. Lately my computer broke down, so I decided to play some old games or anything that would run on my backup machine.
