It is not surprising since not even modern Star Wars(!) merch is selling. If they can't make competent merch for this (let alone movies and designs), I wouldn't expect the rest of the Hollywood to come up with good merch and that's what seems to be happening, everyone have this terrible mindset.
Still though I don't mind that SEGA didn't axe this, anything is good if it means Sony losing money and didn't expect myself to say this, but I wouldn't be surprised if Gearbox canceled Duke movie because of the fear that Hollywood would fuck up Duke the same way.
I hope Hollywood will crush and none of those child fuckers survive before they sell it out completely to Chinese.
